| The rane Empath also has a full cut eq. It also has the wet/dry fader for a complete processed signal. The only disadvantage to the empath compared to the nuo-5 is it doesn't come w/ built in effects or a fourth channel. Im really anxious to spend some time w/ a nuo5 and see how it stacks up against my empath and ineko. |

does this mixer have a built in sampler like the djm-600?
I just find the djm 600's effects the most logically layed out and easiest to use. |

Looks like many people are gonna have to make many tough decisions on which mixer to get, I see these as a good replacement for the 500/600, as somebody said about the layout and control of the effects being very easy, I would have to agree, its simple and it works, they might not be of the same ease on the Ecler, but they will make up for that in build and sound quality, so far I'm still with the Ecler, with the Denon just tagging behind, I've heard some bad reviews of it, but that was cos they wanted more scratch features (seems Denon was classing it as a Scratch capable mixer), but I don't really scratch so I don't care, gonna have to try these beasts side by side.
Chesco: sorry but I haven't seen or read anything about a sampler, so I don't think so on that, oh well can't have everything.
DJ Lazy: COME ON MAN, you know I'll be dragging your ass along with me the next time I go to ANY record or DJ shop....duhhhh:D :D :D . |

Well I dunno what the price would be in Germany, but here in Canada the Denon is $1200 and the Ecler is $1260, so there basically the same, you could probably get it cheaper in Germany though. |

in my books, as well as the other controls, the wet/dry x-fader kicks the out of the djm600 controls (it doesn't really have a specific wet/dry control, it just has a depth knob which is ).. i dont know if the effects will be as good/better though.
as far as launching effects, i was mainly wondering exactly how far this thing can launch them..? :p |

the x-fader is labelled a - b, and above the faders of channel 1 and 4, it has a switch with options xfa, mix and xfb (x-fader assigns). channels 2 & 3 dont have these switches so i have to assume the default x-fader assignment is 2 & 3 and switching the switches assigns the other sub channels to the x-fader. |
