I actually miss the days when we used to flame about trance and prog. Nowadays it's all hot shots (who don't even ing listen to the music) looking for attention by blurting out politcally sensitive statements.
Where art thou old tranceaddict!?!? |

yea i find TA has too much of a revolving door lately.
too many people who i have never met/never talked to. i remember the days when i used to know pretty much EVERYONE on TA.
i think there a lot of new members who post a lot less than the older TAs. it's kinda hard to keep up with them.
i would also guess that about half the people on here haven't made an effort and don't want to meet other TAs. an attitude that's pretty different than before. |

All the reason why you should expand your circle of friends to include these new TAs! The last thing that should happen on this board is for the people on here to form impenetrable cliques that are associated with many other boards in Toronto. :)
I find that having a constant influx of new members signing up to TOTA keeps things in here fresh and new. Without them, it would be a stale situation with the same old faces and same old topics. I mean, how many trance vs. prog wars would we need to have before it just got boring in here??:toothless

PS> So to answer the original question, definitely BLESSING! |

Agreed 100%. Although, based on my observations some “new” people certainly are going about the wrong way to make people want to include them in ANY social group.
There is an interesting dynamic on here when new people join compared to the "real world". People new to a social group wouldn't be nearly as abrasive, confrontational and “to the point” in the "real world" as they'd get ostracized immediately for doing so. But, for some reason it seems that new people on here feel they have a green light to let it rip (whenever, wherever, about whatever and on whomever they choose).
TOTA is a VERY open group of people towards accepting new friends – probably the most open group I’ve ever seen. However – although the dynamic of how people act on TA is different (from the offline world) – the dynamic of how people choose friends/peers isn’t; a little old fashioned courtesy, common sense, maturity and manners would go along way to help people get along and being accepted. |

Definitely a blessing...as many DJs have said in recent interviews...
I'm sure Emery would agree looking at his recent travel posts ;) |

Im not here to make friends... im here to waste time and talk about stuff instead of watching tv. I have my own social life thanks. If you are here to make friends thats great but thats not my objective.
As for newbies, the more the merrier. If i understand correctly, the old school TA was nothing about trance vs prog wars and complaining about how busy or empty a club was. |
