i would also guess that about half the people on here haven't made an effort and don't want to meet other TAs. an attitude that's pretty different than before.

I'm new to the board and I think i've been making an effort to meet some of the other TOTAs.

The crowd reaction ive seen when trance is played to the reaction of the crowd when prog is played is so distinguishable that its not even hard to imagine.

i don't really think this is totally true. with trance sets, it's build up, break down, build up break down, ad infinitum so the crowd goes mildly nuts to every climax.

with prog sets, it's a continuous beat, which some people like. then every once in a while, there's a track with a huge build up/break down and the people go absolutely nuts. the deejay uses climaxes in moderation.

it just depends what you like, but i think i've seen crowds more nuts over prog sets than trance sets.

Graham, I think you hit the nail on the head with this one. Using climaxes and buildups in moderation creates anticipation for it.

It's just like sex, really... sure you can just go for it straight off the bat and you both can get off fairly well... but if you create that anticipation, the release is that much more powerful.
