I work at a water theme park.

Most of the times I get to do lifeguard duties..just hang around in the water and look out for trouble.

I also get to handle the rides.Splasing in the water, talking, playing with customers. Not mentioning the hot chicks in bikinis...:D

Only thing is I get sunburnt like hell.

I'm gonna be working as a camp counselor the next 8 weeks, and the flat payment for the season is crap, but now I heard I'll be a van counselor, which means:

1. I get paid an extra $150 from the camp
2. Parents of kids on my van will tip me
3. I don't need to pay for gas for my car to drive to and from camp everyday (which is about 1/2 hour away)

Life is good :D

Good, now if I hear one excuse for selling out and going to a gino-bambino club instead of Guv, or perhaps Boa, I will personally beat you with a rusty club.

Update:
Friday

I read the newspaper. Enjoyed an article about the Chavez boy and one on the 9-11 comission. I started Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck. I ate my lunch. I played hackysack with a bunch of little kids. I practiced my bass. I took a nap.

Out of the eight hours that I was there (and will be paid for), I worked only 45 minutes stacking chairs and stands. Too bad it has to come to and end next week :(

Maybe I can score another easy ass job.

i tell you i just saw in the last few days that there are certain "Dj'S" round here that actually get paid 100$+(which is like 300$ in the US) to put on a CD,pretend like they are mixing and DJing when the actually just burning two cds without mixing and just pressing the play botton and watching the time goes by whithout even mixing\enjoying nothing!

(of course the stupid brithney\MTV people who dance for this has no idea what a real DJ should sound like...

there are a lot of events like these

i used to work at a Family Fun Center. I was getting paid to secure seat belts on the go karts. Pretty easy. Nice when there is a good looking girl who needs the belt adjusted, thus i'd have to "graze" my hands around to make it fit properly.
well, that was one half of my duty. The other was fighting violent customers who were mad that they got kicked out.
Lets see, i had to restrain a woman who wanted to ride by herself in a two-passenger kart. My friend had told the woman no, she got offended, took a swing at my friend, and i had to restrain her, as she also through punches at me. had to hold her down for a while since the security guard was ordering pizza inside the building.
We had to kick off a guy from the army for being absolutely stupid on the ride. we compared his driving to a 12 yaer old. He called me a kid, and kept saying he'd served in the army for a year, so i told him to about face and go home. Pushed me, started to walk away. Then i called for security and he said "I don't need anyone to walk me out kid." so i said "look at my eyes sir", and i rolled my eyes. Came running back, he tried to tackle me, but i turned to the side and he actually fell down landing on his face.
A parent and his child were hit pretty hard from another customer in the go kart. I asked the guy to give me his wrist band so i could rip it (thus ending his day on the go karts). He ripped it off himself and spit in my face. My friend saw this, ran down and punched him out cold.
and of course, the famous Nianlsdj incident with gang members. I'd kicked off a guy for intentionally trying to damage the kart. one of my co-workers decided to let him back on during my break. He ended up doing a 180 on the track, going backwards on the track onto incoming gokarts. I ran to the track to push the emergency button to cut power to the karts. He was high, came up to me, punched me and it was on. We went at it for a good 15-20 seconds, and thats when his gang friends arrived. The first guy i had actually knocked out. Looking back, i'm amazed that i did, because i'd hit him in the forhead, which i believe is the thickest/hardest bone in the body. The next guy tackled me, rolled over, and i had his back and i was just so ing pissed that i just started elbowing him in the head. Thats when the original kart moron came and hit me in the back of the head, and the rest is what i've been told, as i'd been knocked out (after the second punch to the back of my head). the security guard arrived, the gang members tried to gang up on him, he took out his baton, started whippin ass. more gaurds came. They calmed down and started to walk out, then they grabbed the miniature golf clubs and started swinging. By this time, i'd woken up and ran all the way to where they were (they were facing away from me) and i jumped and kicked the kart moron right in his back and proceeded to punch the out of him. we all got up, they all gathered and started running into the parking lot. 2 gaurds followed them, and the guys tried to run over the gaurd. they left and boy, i had a lot to write in the incident report.
2 weeks later, i quit
now i work as a cashier at a grocery with the finest ladies in all of socal
