| I love the melody, but in my opinion it is horibally mastered, and ruins the tune. It sounds verry "messy." Any one else notice this? |

I don't know if it comes from the mastering , but yeah I noticed everytime I mix it , the transition harmonic sounds horrible. |

it is a pretty sloppy track indeed. Mike remastered it for the album, but it still doesn't sound right, the frequencies are a bit too high during the main part.
it's a shame, because the track itself is mint.. so much power :eyespop:
@ Pez: transition harmonics is something you need to figure out as a DJ, it's not the producer's fault that his track does not mix well with another track now, is it? |

thats a vid from sat in nyc if ya want it....obviousely bass heavy, but still cool.
its not the main part that bothers me much, its like the intro 2-3 minutes its just like, ICK:wtf: .
I hate how sometimes good melodies, go to waste like this. In this case I would be happy if someone put it under the knife, and fixed it up. Unlike other times, where many tracks get ruined. |

yea, but i think the problem is the production since its sloppy, it makes a mix super sloppy the majority of the time. |

there are a lot of elements indeed.. it sounds fine on headphones, but i can imagine it sounds pretty chaotic in a club.
and Pez was talking about the harmonies. if the track is sloppy, your transition will be sloppy, that's correct. |

I've noticed too. Another thing I've been wondering forever is what's so great about this tune. It does nothing for me....sure, it's one of the better known tracks out there....maybe is even considered a "classic" but I don't see classic material here.
Or maybe I'm just too choosy :o
This may be the only slightly negative thread about this track, btw |
