Trance and E. (pg. 3)

I see where you're coming from Beats, and yes, drugs may have increased exposure of the scene in a direct or maybe indirect route. And the exposure is larger now (for trance music) than it has ever been.

More and more people are getting hooked, and these people haven't been introduced to it through drugs, but just by genuinely listening and enjoying the music, because the music is out there. As long as this pattern of exposure continues, the scene will be associated less and less with drugs. And also, as the scene begins to lose its association with the "underground," it will also begin to lose its association with drugs.

The scene will take care of itself, even though drugs at one point may have been an aid in its upbringing.

the majority of people at trance nites in the Uk have been taking it pills, it could not survive without pills. look at the f00king name: Trance for gods sake.

i personally do not take pills and imagine alot of people on here dont either but we are in the minorty and it is only our extreme love of trance (where applicable) that makes us enjoy it. if i got bored of the music i would consider taking stuff but i get high on the music at it is

I wouldn't go so far as to say the whole scene is dependent on E.
There are loads of people out there who just enjoy trance for the music, because they really, really enjoy it. I would say i am one of those people. I am completely hooked on trance, and i have only ever done E once.

Then you have the prog lovers (chin strokers :p ) who love it to bits without needing drugs.

So in summary, trance isn't dependent on E for survival. There are still plenty of people out there who just love the music.

*edit* spelling mistake

Who hasn't done drugs? I have.

Do i NEED them? If i did- I would consider myself a loser. Not because I was simply doing the drug because i have damm0t:) But only because the nessecity for the drug would hinder my actual enjoyment of the essence of music in itself.

lets get real here guys...

E is good........ but it doesn't define me.

Music does.

And for those who believe the drugs are an imperative part of the scene...why didn't you just join the E-club...or instead of TranceAddicts you just join the DrugAddicts lol

become a DA.....leave the music loving for us TA's

ok biotches? ;)

i tried to read the whole thing but half way through i started getting a bit dizzy.. lol... but i think i got the point of it.. and yes.. E is a big part of the scene... but to tell you the truth, Drugs are a part of today's society... i doubt we will ever see a drug free world. everyone needs to realise that, and move on with their lives.
