sounds like everyone in new york missed out...

I was down near DC for the weekend and decided to go check Sasha out in baltimore. It was amazing. He had the whole place moving the whole time he was there. He played trancey stuff, funky stuff, lots of breaks and some plain old bad ass basslines. Everything was just pure energy...

And he played his mix of that Ulrich Schnauss song of Involver... so incredible in the club... just starts of with the drums doing the breaks for about a minute then builds into the Involver version...

one of the best sets I've heard in a long time...

choobak's description referring
to breaks as energizing is so
frivolous...

in brief if you like sasha even
if he plays prerecorded music
and focus thats another thing

if the crows didnt drink most
djs would have to have regular
jobs...

A mesmorizing release party, Sasha was surgical last night.

Im trying to find out the name of the 3rd to last song he canned around 5:50. It was a vocal with some chick saying "I know ..........?" "And if............?" followed by a pounding bassline and guitar effects. S&D dropped it last time they were at Crobar in March.

Sorry for the late post...Sasha definitely was on point friday night. Started off with some break beat, progressed into some deep trance, and then did only what Sasha could do....It was the first event I've been to in a few months, and Im glad electronic music continues to have quality representation in NY....I personally thought the set turned into a different beast when he dropped Kosmas Epsilon feat. Eleana - Shame. After that, it was non-stop quality beats...

Saw a few TA's there, but then again, there are so many now, that I dont even know how to recognize you guys...

Great night...next Stop, Friday at Central PArk..
;)

That might be your opinion. Plenty of breaks are full of energy but nobody know how to dance to them. People are always saying stuff like "what is this slow ?" when something like wavy gravy is playing and they don't even realize it's actually just as fast or faster than any "euphoric hands in the air crappy armin" type trance. So what you get is a room full of people standing around and maybe twenty people dancing there asses off.

I don't know what he played in New York but the breaks he played down there had plenty of energy. The basslines alone in those songs alone should have been enough to get everyone moving, but people can't dance to a breakbeat...

if you know how to dance then u def can dance to break beat, its just the matter of making new moves for it

Exactly... but i'm saying a lot of people don't know how... I mean just take a look around the next time any dj goes form a straight beat to a break beat. It's like half the dancefloor dies... :(
