Well, I walk in with my buddy around 9:30(after doing multiple circles around Sonar trying to find it =P) and Luke Fair just came on. He spins a great opener set. I really enjoyed it.
40 minutes after 11, Sasha appears looking high as a kite. I quickly move up front with Limin, Reuben, Dave, and my buddy(Sorin) so we can get a good view for his set.
Sasha bangs it out. Track after track was bangin. Loved every second. And suddenly, when everyone least expects it, he cuts it all out and plays a really chill track right in the middle to give everyone some breathing time, then, the track evolves into a harder track after a few minutes where he returns to his usual devices.
Sasha's set tended to stay toward the Progressive Trance genre, though a few of the tracks played could be argued otherwise.
I ended up having to leave at 1:40(thought it was 1:30, watch was wrong) because my friend Sorin had parked his car at my house 25 minutes away, and then from my house he had a 1.5 hour drive ahead of him =/. If it wasn't father's day, woulda stayed for the whole thing.
Basically, for what I saw, i really really enjoyed the set. Although short, and my first live sasha(and sonar) experience, i had a wonderful time. I am a huge sasha whore, but I can bash the people i like, and I can say there was nothing wrong with what this man did tonight. I loved it. And I hope everyone else did as well.
Rollcall for who I remember: Limin, Reuben, Dave, Erin, Joel, 2 of Limin's friend TAs, at least 1 more TA who I met at AMIT's house party which the name I unfortunately cannot remember =/.
Overall, had a great time, and hope to see Sasha drop by the DC area sometime soon. Next in my lineup is DIGWEED on 8-28 @ GLOW (if 18+).

EDIT: I cannot believe that retard THREW THE SHIRT AT SASHA, WHICH LANDED ALMOST ON THE DAMN TURNTABLES. Freakin moron.
EDIT 2: Found out Sasha was 40 minutes late because of traffic for driving down to baltimore from new york. In a limo of course, what else =P

well tonight fckin owned.
luke played a great warmup set and his last few tracks really set the mood.
sasha came on and for me he pretty much owned it. so happy to finally see him spin. and i got my CD and poster signed :happy2:
nice to meet Reuben, ryan and his friend, seein limin again and finally meeting clyde you punk who got lost again ! nice poster btw
great night my ears haven't stopped ringing since kazell and sander K
two great nights and now i need some sleep.

edit: oh yeah that guy that threw his shirt at sasha was really fcking stupid. and that guy was holding up for 10mins blocking the people behind him. what an asshat... |

I was hoping the set would be recorded, however it was not. I wanna knwo what the last track is now, since i had to leave early =/

The very last track was Matthew Dekay - Higher Thoughts....what a perfect way to end the night!
I hope someone can ID the track he dropped right before that... I'm thinking U.N.K.L.E - In A State (Sasha Remix) but I'm not sure |

oooh i wish, but he didnt play that! and how awesome was sasha! he is SOOOOO much better without diggers. not to say digweed is bad, but their styles have definitely gone their own ways these days. sasha played some great , of course i can't ID 95% of it....but it was still an awesome night nonetheless. had a great time with all you guys!!!! joel, alli, dave, reuben, amanda, john, keith, clyde, ryan, duane, sid...etc etc!!! you guys are awesome!!! and dave i hope you are okay :tongue2
