One of the biggest European cycling events is taking place in Spain now! In Holland not much of it is shown but anyways I start this thread :) David Millar is the current leader but I'm sure a lot will change during this event.

Zabel allready won two stages in the Vuelta

This year all the favourites are spanish due to the poor foreigner participation (Pantani???, Zabel). My favourites in order are Beloki (3rd in Tour), Heras (winner last year) and Sevilla (1st young in Tour).

The 5th stage have just finished. This was one of the most important stages, it ended in Lagos de Covadonga (). The new leader is Sevilla.

You can check all the information regarding to "La Vuelta" in www.lavuelta.com. It is also in English.

Best Regards,

He already won 3 at this moment :)

Botero, the colombian guy, has recovered the gold maillot after the trial time stage of today.

He can win La Vuelta if he does not lose a lot of time in the mountains because La Vuelta ends in Madrid with a trial time stage.

My best favourite now is Oscar Sevilla.

The today's stage have just finished. Today the new leader is Beloki (3rd in Tour for 2 years).

I don't know who will win La Vuelta. All the favourites seem to have the same strength and all of them have good and bad days.

I think that on the tuesday, wednesday and thursday stages (the Pyrenees), we will see who wins.

The hardest stage of La Vuelta have just finished. Beloki has lost 19 minutes. The new leader is Sevilla and Casero is second at 37 seconds. One of these two guys will win La Vuelta. I prefer Sevilla, he only is 24.

Tomorrow another great stage.

Sevilla will win I think, but actually I don't like the vuelta so much I donno,I still prefer the Tour de France, although it wasn't that exciting this year

i have to say your right,, the tour de france is such a bore these days.. bring back the good old days of Pantani going crazy in the mountains.. i must admit i did like Indurain kicking ass in the tours hehe,, i cant stand lance armstrong..

as for the tour of spain well im sure a Kelme rider will win lol

Now the leader is Sevilla, but Casero is few seconds above him. I think that Casero will win, because the saturday stage in Madrid mountains never have decided La Vuelta and the last stage is a trial-time. Casero is much better in this speciality.

The design of La Vuelta changed last year, the stages are shorter and the montain starts in the first week. For the people and cyclist is better.

Anyway, Tour de France is better because in France there are more and harder mountain stages, but it is true that the first week is boring.
