I'll say
France 2 - Greece 1
England 1 - Portugal 2 (Rooney is gonna be marked by 2 at all times, and if Owen plays like he has been playing.. no goals for the English) |

France 4 - Greece 2
England 9 - Portugal 1 :o

If France thinks Greece is going to be an easy ride than they have something else coming. I haven't been too impressed by France as of late but they will take this I should expect.
Portugal is gaining momentum but England have been quite consistent and its payback for Euro 2000. This should prove to be the game of the tournament so far. Can't say for this. Perhaps a draw at full time. Anything is possible after that. |

yes, because our midfield never score any goals, *cough* 4 goals from midfield in 3 games *cough*
What about Pauleta? he's done literally nothing so far, and the rest of the Portuguese team, on the evidence against Spain, are interested in beating a few players then crossing in to an empty (of their 'attackers') box. Their attacking threat seems really tame to me, it took a shot from nothing, albeit a good one, to score against Spain despite getting up to their penalty area for most of the match!
Add to this the fact that Sol Campbell & Terry are going to prove more difficult to beat than whichever old boys were in the Spanish defense, and you've got a clean sheet heading England's way. |

i think that'd be brilliant if that happened. owen will score sooner or later he is still a class striker and if he has space he will score and then like sector.30 said, we have plenty of attacking midfielders.i think if england play well they will win but im not sure they can keep a good momentum going for 4 games therefore it will hinge on how well portugal play. |

| Portugal can't afford to put 2 men on Rooney, England have 4 midfielders who can come forward and threaten goal, as well as Owen who is just lacking a bit of confidence. |

if england plays with the same confidence and calamity james (the keeper) doesn't up , they'll go easily to the semi-finals !!
GO ROONEY BADGER !! |

weren't you an england hater not too long ago? :)
Seriously though, it seems that a lot of "football fans" like to mix football with politics. "Oh I hate Blair's politics so I hate Beckham's guts". This is the rationale of a lot of my Arab friends which is, if you ask me, complete and utter bullspit.
"Oh no, France colonized us a long time ago. How can we support them?" boo ing hoo.
The beauty of the game is that it transcends races, creeds, and religions. |
