How would you compare Viva to Guvernment, Boa, System, etc in that respect? Because one thing i absolutely can't stand is a sausagefest! |

If going to clubs primarily to meet women in your thing, why not just try bars instead ? Chances of hooking up are far greater when booze is involved as compared to clubs where 'most' people go for the music and umm consumption of various other 'elements'. ;)
My experience of Viva was a good one from the aspect of crowd, they were well behaved and fairly proportionate gender wise. The tunes weren't my cuppa but that's another matter entirely.
Simple fact is the crowds at any big event will differ from nite to nite, so going to a club with crowd expectations will more often then not result in disappointment. Especially if you are going 'just' to scope out the girls ( which in my opinion should be left to the hip-hop scene).
Just go there for the music -- and if you enjoy that...you'll find everything else falls neatly into place. |

| I don't do bars. At all. Nor do i go to clubs to pick up women. I go for the music, the friends, and yes the women as well. But they're just part of the experience. Dancing with a girl is a hell of a lot more fun than dancing with a bunch of guys, wouldn't you agree? |

It is better, but unless you are bringing along a girl to dance with, there is no guarantee who you will be dancing next to, so why make it something that will deter you from going to a club ?
Big clubs will always hot women, so chances are good you'll find that 'special' someone to dance with ;) |

No guarantee? I guess, unless you just pick out the prettiest girl in the club and go dance with her ;) And it doesn't deter me from going to clubs, just the opposite. I was planning to hit up NU-NRG up until i heard about the one-hour-long set. That's an insult to the clubbers in this city. |

Maybe you should actually show up like the rest us before you start passing judgment on our behalf. Their set might have been only one hour long but it was truly a magnificent, mind-blowing experience. |

I second what he said. They might have given us one hour, but the whole experience of that one hour was worth more than those 8 hour sets some dj's give us. The atmosphere of it all was simply amazing. Quality over quantity my friend. |

Yes I would have to agree.. NRG set was short but well worth the wait. As for the crowd, it reminds me of GUV in a smaller space. I was chatting with this one Vietnamese girl for a while and this older guy (her father) smiled at me and took her away. I doesnt matter I went to this club to hear some good Trance and I did. |

| She goes clubbing with her father? Come to think of it, i've heard about this before. What an amazing culture. I should have went just to see how that plays out. Does anyone else think middle-aged asian people are just downright cooler than europeans? Whenever i run into them in clubs, they're always having a blast like the rest of us, as opposed to our parents who sit home and do nothing. |

You know what, it's true. I was over at my friend's house in Markham and it's like 12:30 am and his mom and dad are up (dad's surfin' the net, mom's doing dishes). It was a little odd... But they're definitely cool people. |
