Not sure how this thread will go, but I gotta admit the first time I heard ATRC I was damn close. :)

interesting thread, but it sounds like a repost.

i am an emotional person, i suppose. i always cry when i hear the finale of beethoven's 9th. as for trance, though, the only time that i cried was when i saw paul van dyk at wmc in 2003. it wasnt the particular track that he was playing that did it for me, but rather the whole atmosphere; it was right when the iraq war began, and, of course, pvd was against the war. he was flying all sorts of anti-war banners, flags, and/ or shirts. so it wasnt the track that did it for me; it was the energy of the place, the anti-war message. now i like trance music and all, but that was the first and only time that it had any real meaning for me.

REM- Everybody Hurts is the most emotional song I've ever heard. Never cried to anything though.

i think im man enough to admit that if a song applies to my situation, and i hear it in a set or something, it feels like the dj played it just for me, so the tears well up a bit. ive broken into like sobbing hysterics, though. born slippy//nuxx can still do that to me. not necesarily sadness, but tears nonetheless.

This happens to me quite alot. My ultimate crying tune is probably Schiller "Das Glockenspiel" {HUMATE MIX}
