I strongly support this idea. The price seems fair, as Mr. Howlett seems to be putting a lot of effort on this (as far as I've understood) and he once mentioned about this goal of "changing the tune every now and then" (I guess he was talking to someone from Underworld, as they're know for changing their tunes when playing live).
If they allow bank debit from my bank (which I don't think it's likely to happen, unfortunately), I will sure try to buy my copy. |

I like the sound of this. It is certainly a novel idea not unlike Prince's recent CD giveaways at concerts to count for sales in an oblique way, but I do wonder:
Are each of the 5,000 downloads individually "hand-crafted" by Liam himself or is this in fact the work of a computer program, which customizes the raw audio data by slicing and dicing 8-bar sections and crossfading and whatnot as necessary . . . and then encodes the music into a conveniently downloadable format (like MP3) for your final enjoyment?
Likewise, it sounds to me like the different mixes for different playback media may be variations on a theme, processed by a selection of EQ settings. 5.1 surround sound can be downmixed to stereo, and as for the DJ mix, "pump up the bass", as is commonly said.
I am interested nonetheless. :) |

| I'd be interested to find out exactly how 'unique' each one of these tracks is (i think however it will perhaps only be slight diferences in structure of track, eq settings ect.) - we will see, I hope I'm plesantly suprised  |
