I fail to beleive that newsmax is a reliable source considering the cartoons and jokes section.

I thought Bowling for Columbine was a great documentary (except for the scene at Hefner's house, where he pulled out the pic of the little girl. that was self-serving and melodramatic.) But Farenheit 9/11 is going way to far. Why I generally believe the facts(?) prsented in the movie, and the book, Dude, Wheres my country, both of those things stepped well beyond the realm of art and into the world of trying to influence politics. and for him to try to sue for slander over a book about him which reveals his lavish life style and posh possesions, s antithetical to his nature and should make an interesting (and amusing) case...

I love it how people actually expect an extreme leftist to not distort facts to his advantage. Oh, and I'm sure a right-winger wouldn't do anything like what Moore did - they're much more fair than those liberals... definitely wouldn't hesitate to put in some info that goes against their point.

Ugh... I hate politics.

hehe, i think it is funny how everyone (from the US) call moore an extreame leftist. in sweden he would probably be considered center right or so :p

Trust me, he's a left-winger, and I have no qualms about using the adjective "extreme" to describe him. I've often found that left/right can be relative terms depending on the political context/structure.

erik you are forgetting the US doesnt like to have 'real-world' political distinctions, with more than 2 categories...we have enough fun arguing between the two groups.

but yes, you are right. Moore is NOT a hardcore social dem, environmentalist, blah blah like youd find in much of Northern Europe. not to say that a REAL hardcore lefty has all the answers either|
