| hmm i started with artists like atb, sash, alice deejay, stadust, armand van helden.... but my first real trance track would be robert miles - children, been addicted ever since. |

First dance track - Sasha - Xpander
I bought this under the mistaken impression that the Sasha in question might be the same fellow who was involved in KMFDM, my late teenage obsession. It wasn't, but the Xpander EP got some playtime anyway; and I picked up Communicate when it came out, and also dug it while still being completely out of the loop on the Trance / Prog scene.
First 'Trance' Track - Apollo 440- Can't Stop the Rock (Gigolo Stop the Jocks Remix)
A friend bought the otherwise atrocious Apollo 440 single, but it happened to have this remix on it, which I was blown away by. I still wasn't really *into* the scene though.
Finally: Chicane - Behind the Sun (whole album)
Bought this as a friend was a completely mad Chicane addict and became obsessed with all things Chicane. As a result I started digging up all of the remixes, which meant I was basically going through the Xtravaganza catalogue: I discovered Agnelli & Nelson, Airscape, and so it all began, remixes led me back to some of the big names and their DJ sets (Armin, Cor Fijneman) which further expanded my horizons. I started lurking here, and that was all she wrote, another TA :) |

| I remember in the beginning of listening trance that I heard artists like Aura, Trance Control, Darude... and I remember one song that impacted me a lot the first time I heard it, Bedrock - Heaven Scent so probably this song got me into trance. |

First tune i heard: Robert Miles - Children
'Point of no return' as someone worded it would be a triple whammy of Energy 52 - Cafe del Mar 98, Binary Finary - 1998 (pvd mix), and Agnelli & Nelson - El Nino (matt darey mix)... heard all of them in the same week... didn't know they were 'trance' until the first Trance Nation album came out, then I was hooked :D |
