what track should i use to promote trance?

| when i talk about music with my friends, no one really know anything about trance. often they agree to listen to a few samples... what track should i give them, so they start listening to trance? :) |

| ive often wondered this myself as none of my friends like trance, maybe sumthing from paul van dyk for girls, tell me why? for an angel? lads, erm, urban train? i thought once that a cheese track may help, coz when 9pm came out everyone loved it, so maybe a well chosen cheese track to set the scene and then some proper stuff, maybe barthezz on the move? members of mayday (pvd) 01-10 would be a good track, blank and jones - fragile? jam & spoon - angel? ah, Empire - Second Sun, sweet:) |

How can u pick 1 track to promote trance when they are literally hundreds of fine tunes out there ?
And what genre would you choose ?
You could use the classics like Robert Miles - Children or Binary Finary '98 but those are bound to have been heard already and cant have worked.
How about picking the tune that got you into trance ? it worked on you so why not your friends ?
When ppl ask me what is Trance, i tell them it's the way that paticular form of music makes me feel, uplifted, high on the sounds and emotions that music gives me.
And one of those tracks that always gets to me is the one i play to them . . .

| ok if your gonna promote any tune, i suggest cutting it to right before the climax. i find that my friends who find trance alright look over a song after like 15 seconds of it because of the gay buildup. face it, ppl like the climax. thats what gets people hooked. i cut tunes like dumonde vs lange-memory, fire and ice-souvenir de chine, and dj tiesto-sparkles (transa remix), and they like it soooooo much more. but if it really takes going down to the level of darude, let them listen to commercial first, then they will like it, and kinda ween them away from it to newer, better, tunes. |
