Cute, but she looks like she'd make a good rugby player...
Another woman who tickles my fancy these days (since watching Underworld again) is Kate Beckinsale. Now there's cute:

| I wanna bang Sharapova right there on the centre court. :) She's young but damn. It would be a hit and run. |

| The William sisters will always be the best female tennis players. |

men and their opinions of women athletes always cracks me up. if they have no interest in screwing them then chances are they think they're either a dyke-type or a man. |
Sure we guys can be like that but I'm different. I'm a big wimbledon fan and I always love the underdog coming from no where. Youth and winning go hand in hand at Wimbledon, I mean who could forget boris becker or pete sampras when they won their first. Sarapova was just so honestly free and happy after she won, it just made me feel good she won it. I for one can't stand the Williams sisters, whether they're dropping out of a tourney, letting the other one win, not giving a 100%, wining, or their dumbass father make dumb comments. Take your pick. Now for the pics...

sorry you cant stand the williamses. they tend to get a bad rap...people tend to steer towards the underdogs, in every sport. however, as far as the controversy surrounding them and "not giving 100%, letting the other win..." i think people forget the situation they are in. no one can imagine what it's like to play your sister, especially if they're your best friend and you live with them, no matter how anyone tries to justify it.
most of all, i admire them for coming into an elitist sport from Compton, CA and shaking up the scene in a virtually all white, wealthy sport. their dad says some dumb , but the guy is a bad ass. he never played tennis and coached them all the way to a grand slam! pretty impressive in my book. these chics are sports icons. more power to em and may they keep raising the bar.
and congrats to maria. she deserved it. |

you hit the nail right on the head...how many of these other privileged young tennis prodigies like maria have had to live life as tough as the williams sisters playing on unfurnished, cracked tennis courts in Compton with gun shots being heard all around them...these sisters and their family came from nothing and for the williams sisters to persevere through the hardships and become the top tennis players in the country how can you root against them?
and when was the last time there were successful Black tennis players? Arthur Ashe? they have definitly given them hope for other innercity kids that its possible for them to succeed as well |
