people will always have their taste and preference in music, and if the majority of people want to listen to tired, overplayed cookie-cutter music then that's their choice...

personally i like it better when there aren't ignorant people listening to the music i enjoy...makes me feel...i don't know...maybe unique in a way.

see here is the thing with me... i used to love rap music, and i used to hate any kind of electronic music but now that ive fallen in love with this its the only thing i want to listen too. so when i spin at school its the only thing i wanan play on my tables. so its hard for me to do it when 98% of my school is black and they like that annyoing fruity loops production sound . (not that fruity is bad , i have 4.0 pro version) i don't know i just feel like my life would be so much better if i lived in europe.

Long Live Trance!

i say just remain unique and unwilling to conform to the mainstream! =)
DJ JEM
yeah i do that for sure but like most of the fine ass girls like that rappy bull and they dont take the time to understand trance. its quite annoying

edit: or me either =(
[PCO]sigmanova
hehe you can always pull this line when you are chatting it up with one of those 'fine ass girls'

you: "so what kind of music do you like?"
girl: "hip-hop, rap, r&b, you know."
you: "how about trance?"
girl: "nah i dont like it"
you: "then it wouldn't work between us."

trust me that will get you a laugh or two...and its always interesting to see the response in that...

but anyway, there are plenty of pretty ladies out there that like trance, be patient and you'll find them, and it doesnt matter if hot girls or whomever dont like trance or take the time to 'understand' it, music is music, sucks to them for missing out
DJ JEM
thanks dude. it really if they don;t want to take the time to understand me or what i'm about then they don't need to be in my life.

LOL! once i was spinning at this show for school and in the back was this big fat stinky black girl. i was bored so i started talking to her and i asked her if she was the bouncer (she had a head set on) and she was like naw just helping get ready then she asked me if i was the DJ )She Saw my shirt( and i told her yeah i was . so it was my turn to go spin for about 2 hours and after that the show began and i had to scratch and bull the croud. well they wanted me to spin for about 3 more hours in between acts. but i didnt have enough records with me so i had to start replaying certian mixes and using he other side of the record. anyways when the whole show was done this other black girl comes up to me and hands me this letter. she says that its from her friend and that her friend really likes me. so i'm thinking nothing at this point except that my whole body hurts and my ears are ringing like a bitch. i get home and read the letter " hey Mr. Dj its' me head set, anyways i think you look so sexy djing and i know we are like 2 years apart ( i was a sohmore and she was a senior) but i would really like to get to know you. call me some time *phone number* bye sexy" so i call her the next day and find out who she was (up till then i had no idea who it was) and she answerd the phone and i went nuts once i found out who she was (this chick must have weighed 600 pounds)anyways thats my story for tonight

This thread is old....everyone has their own preferences in music, and people could say exactly the same things about trance that you say about rap.
