Great times! Was a lot of fun to party with Steve Porter again, as I missed him at Stereo last time due to playing at gravity on the same night. Unsurprisingly, he delivered an excellent funky set with flawless mixing the entire time; this guy really is superb IMO.
The beginning of Sasha's set was a little low on energy, and I was beginning to question his sound a little as most people were just swaying on the dancefloor for the most part. After listening for 3+ hrs though it became apparent that Sasha was really just constructing a set with marvelous flow, and his intro tracks really were good at establishing the mood, with the energy to come later on. He played all over the spectrum, starting with a lot of deep proggy breaks, moving on to some excellent progressive trance, and also playing some sick-assed electro influenced tracks that I would really really like to ID. By the time I left at 8am he really had the energy in the place up high, and was playing some excellent, driving progressive trance that was really rocking the dancefloor. Wish I could have stayed a little bit longer, but I'm still not used to these crazy montreal party hours so 8am was about as long as I could hold out =P
Was nice talking to Malek and Mazen, and nice meeting you j@y; hope to see you guys again soon. |

Great night! Got there in time for Steve Porter to rock the place with some awesome music that just got your legs moving. Danced behind the DJ booth for his set. Was nice meeting you j@y and jpx, nice to see you again Malek and Mazen!
Sasha's set started off a little bit weird, but really got pumping after an hour or so. We did some dancing, some relaxing, some chatting.. Was nice hanging out in the VIP area hehe.
Highlight of the night: When Steve Porter played Basement Jaxx - Rendez-Vous (Roger Sanchez Mix).. The crowd (and I) went wild! :) |

I like that track too!!:gsmile:
I guess his claim that he doesn't play proggy anymore, didn't hold true..:clown: |

i think sean is spot on about the description of Sasha's set. I really liked all of it, he started with Invisible inc. - Stars like he did last year at Aria. I love it, great intro track.
all in all, it was an awesome party, had lots of fun chatting it up with Hansolo, Sooper, Silke, Kate, Sean, Jay and JPX (sti t'est gland pour quitter de si tot) and others :)
I don't have lots of pics, but they're great :D |
