Favorite Trance song Destroyed by S**t vocals (pg. 6)

I wouldn't say "destroyed", but I really didn't like the vocal version of Gouryella's (Ferry Corsten) "Ligaya". The original was plenty crowded with all the elements in the mix -- especially with the huge supersaw melody -- and with the vox on top as I heard it (granted, the lyrics were inspirational ;) ), it sounded very claustrophobic and crushed... the way the kick drum was pumping over the syllables as the singer sang was very unpleasant in a non-Daft Punk way. Everything was just fighting for space, like 100 goldfish in a tiny bowl. :(

I've found the people who don't like the vocals in this song or any of the mixes (like the 93 Returning) mix usually say because they're so weird (i.e. treated with various effects).

I was waiting to hear BT's own mix of "Love Comes Again" but I guess he didn't make one?

Amen. Her voice is average as hell, and she's way overused.

I really hated Suburban Train with the vocals. The music speaks for itself there. Layering a vocal track over it just kills it.

YES! everytime i listen to solar coaster, i see that scene with the sunset from True Romance...then alabama's monologue gets up to the part of the quote used in solarcoaster. at first i didnt like it that much because it sounded corny but now that i know where the lines came from, i love hearing it.

the vocals i hated were from kyau vs albert - velvet morning (mirco de govia mix). i happen to like hte song but the vocals just turn me off, first being male vocals and to make it worse, the guy sounded gay, nothing against them or anything but i just dont like that crap.

Do what you want" reminds me of "Talk like a stranger" Definetely an awesome, jaw-dropping and awe-inspiring song ...without the cheesy vocals . I think this song would be a #1 grand hit if a more experience and more talented singer like Justine Suissa , Jan Jonston or Jes Brieden , would make this song one of all time greatest.

No way. The vocals in 'do what you want' is amazing. You call that cheesy but Justine or Jan isn't???
