Ummm, sorry, but I have to disagree on this one. You need to enjoy vocal trance in order to really like Armin Van Buuren - Burned With Desire, but I think her voice is nearly perfect in that track.
My current pick for worst vocals ever would have to be Tiesto feat. BT - Love Comes Again. The only version I ever play is the Mark Norman remix, because the vocals are much, much shorter/quieter in that version. :D |

There's a psychological barrier that can exist hearing vocal trance with males singing, because it is just so much rarer. Most guys want to see hot chicks singing, not a hot guy (like BT), LOL :) I understand.
Same thing goes for female producers (and to a lesser extent, DJs)... the natural, "sexist" reaction is to wonder whether she really made those tracks herself, or if she had a friend or cohort create them and market it all under her name and image. It's controversial and I would like to see increased diversity in many aspects of the scene, so... ongoing . . .
I'm kind of getting tired of trance tracks with robots singing in them, although still open to possibilities. It's just some of these counterfeits really bug me. Hey, there's only room for ONE Daft Punk :P |

| Cant stand the track now, but quite a while ago i thought that klea-tic toc was great without the vocals, but horrible with them. |

No one has mentioned Iio - smooth
Those vocals just absolutely suck, I don't think the song would work without them though... I know those type of vocals are the Iio trademark and whatever, and I don't think that Iio would be able to produce anything sellable without them. I think this is one of those cheese things aimed at the kiddy market. |

I wouldn't say "destroyed", but I really didn't like the vocal version of Gouryella's (Ferry Corsten) "Ligaya". The original was plenty crowded with all the elements in the mix -- especially with the huge supersaw melody -- and with the vox on top as I heard it (granted, the lyrics were inspirational ;) ), it sounded very claustrophobic and crushed... the way the kick drum was pumping over the syllables as the singer sang was very unpleasant in a non-Daft Punk way. Everything was just fighting for space, like 100 goldfish in a tiny bowl. :( |
Agreed. And you could clearly hear the singer wasn't english - some of her pronounciation just makes me cringe... |

i suppose it didn't really destroy the track, because it was never released AFAIK. but the version of PvD - for an angel with the vocals from Lange - Drifting away in it is quite poor.
And no, i dont have it on my computer, honest:o |

All the vocal tunes on "System F Vs Armin - Trancematch", but above all, the worst of the bunch...
GOURYELLA - WALHALLA (VOCAL MIX)
Completely ruined the music. |

Ton T.B. - Dream Machine
Salt Tank - Eugina
Signum - Come Around Again
Angelic - Stay with Me
This is all i could think of off the top of my head. sorry for repeat mentions |
