Shrooms - vs X, LSD, weed

I've been reading a lot about them. Here are some quotes that seem to generalize the experience of shrooms versus other popular substances:

  • "But to personify it, mushrooms are like the more interesting and sophisticated brother of marijuana."
  • "Unlike X how you can feel drained the next day we felt good. Better then we can ever imagine we have felt before. After all the things I did Shrooms is truly the best. Not for partying, but simply for feeling good and cleansing your soul. To us, X tries to do what shrooms do."
  • "The difference between mushrooms and acid is that both will take you to these strange and magical worlds or realities, but acid will leave you there to find your own way back, and mushrooms will be a guide through them, always bringing you back"
  • "I find LSD to be way more instense and clearer and also have longer lasting after effects. And I find mushrooms to be more calm & mellow,a little more cartoony (closed eye) and way more bodily.. like for meditation I think shrooms are better"

Anyone agree? It sounds like shrooms have a lot going for them, with none of the side effects of the others. What are your experiences?

why bother?

Yeah, that's what I'm looking for. That's why I've never tried pot (a "pop" recreational drug to do just to get stoned), ecstasy (just to party and get high), cocaine or heroin (just for a quick dose of pleasure) or any other drugs (except alcohol).

I'm really looking for that awe-filled open-minded exploration with shrooms.

For a return to child-like awe. It's said to remove the veil of accumulated cynicism acquired over the years, of the masks of reality that we all hide behind. It lets you see things with brand new eyes, and has no known side effects. It's not addictive, and the only noticeable aftereffect, long- or short-term, is your newfound appreciation for the beauty of life. So I think the real question is:

Why not bother?

What a waste of eletricity it took to write this thread, these drug threads are getting rediculous. Drugs are a form of crime, and all your doing is promoting it. People wonder why their country is screwed up.

Did you even bother to read my last post? What, specifically, about mushrooms could be considered socially detrimental? There are no shroom fiends. It's far safer than even alcohol, both health-wise (long- and short-term) and effects-wise. Should alcohol be outlawed then? But considering you can't even spell or use grammar correctly, I surmise it's safe to ignore your thoughtless post.

My, you certainly present a cogent argument.

Well, picking on my use of grammer and spelling is not a good way to make your case, and secondly posting a thread about comparing mushroomes to x and lsd, two potentially dangerous substances is stupid in the first place. If you say shroomes are not socially detrimental, you should not be comparing them to drugs which are.

Fair enough. Hence my questions about why you considered mushrooms to be socially detrimental.

I suppose you mean "shouldn't" be comparing them to drugs which are. If you haven't noticed, I'm trying to make the case that shrooms seem to be a great substitute for those other substances. If anything, it might convince more people to stay away from acid or X, which (may?) have harmful side effects. I am in no way promoting acid, X, and especially not heroin or cocaine.

I changed the grammer in that one, im not a particualy good typer, and my english is poor, i admit, if it convinces other people to stay away from potentially dangerous substances then fair enough.

I hate it when people post on here, asking about which drug is the strongest to take. Your thread title is a little misleading. I, myself have never taken any drugs in my life, but i have had a lot of problems with students at my university taking, what arn't even considered to be dangerous substances, substances such as weed.

My girlfriend has trouble breating sometimes, which is why i hate all forms of drugs so much. When you think what you are doing is harmless, it could quiet well turn out that it is causing a great deal of damage.

Thanks for clarifying your post.
