There needs to be something other than simply a stare in order for you guys to realize you might find the other attractive. ...And I have to agree with DJ Lazy, most bus drivers at the airport are creepy old men types, so she might automatically be thinking, "Whoa, creep!" even if she otherwise would have found you attractive. No offense, them's just the breaks. Sort of like being a construction worker. Plus, man, you're at the airport. These girls are probably getting on a plane home to Phoenix or something. I think your chances for picking up girls are better elsewhere.

alright well the airport job is just an example ... and its not a creepy job but the fact that other people think it is makes it hella funny... metro bus drivers, they're creepy, all the bus drivers at the airport are college kids and we make hella tips... anyway, you two sure went off topic...
ive caught girls staring at me before and they never smile or blush. like this one girl in my music industry class.... she caught me staring at her like twice and then i caught her stairing at me once maybe twice... neither of us smiled or did anything, except look away, and in both situation, on the bus, and in class, you cant say "hey whats up...yada yada yada"
SO, the question remains what is a girl thinking when she catches you stairing in her eyes? according to you we both should be creeped out but im sure as hell not creeped out, im intreeged, what is she thinking? should i smile, give her a rock on sign, see if we can lock eyes again, wait for her to smile or do soemthing, should she be making the move cus I am staring at her? what?
and personaly i think doing this experiment at the airport is perfect cus im NEVER going to see these girl again EVER, im not interested in a relationship, or even a hello, i want to know what this girl or that girl is thinking when we lock eyes.

No no, I know, I actually did have an airport driver guy (a young un-creepy guy) hit on me once, that's why I just find this whole thread kind of amusing. ;) He was like, "Here's the hotel. You know, if you're hungry, there's a McDonald's over there...I can drive you over there, you know, whenever you get hungry, I'm working till 10..." heh. I wouldn't recommend being THAT obvious, of course, but it was funny.
Anyway my response is if you just meet her eye and look away that's not creepy for either of you, that happens all the time. I'm talking prolonged staring without any smiling or any other sign, that would creep anybody out, I would think. So yeah, definitely just give her a little smile if you catch a girl looking. No hand gestures are probably necessary :p Just smile and see what happens. |

ok just to clarify im talking about i look at a girl she looks at me, and then she realizes that im looking at her... and then she doesnt look away... this happend in what less then a second, then its a stand off. if i smile, i dont know that jsut seems weird, is it? if she smiles though thats like saying "hey your interested in me, i can tell cus your looking at me, im interested in you cus im smiling back at you". i still what to know what shes thinking in that moment right after she realizes im looking at her. and by smile i mean jsut the smallest little smirk or blush or something not a photo ready smile |

Yeah I know what you mean. I mean really it depends on the girl. She might have already sized you up and thought you were hot long before you made eye contact. Or the eye contact might have made her go, hmm, he's kind of cute.
Dude out of randomness, who do you drive for? I'm constantly at Seatac, I'm from Seattle originally and I have to tell you, I took a Holiday Inn Express shuttle with a driver I swear to god wanted to take me somewhere scary and slit my throat, it was extremely dodgy.
Just another example of the shadiness of certain jobs...:nervous: but I'm sure you don't seem creepy |

Nah, that's not what I'm saying. It's impossible to tell, really. She could think you're cute or she could just be weird. It depends on the girl. And it depends on you, I dunno how hot you are :p Seriously, when I think a guy is hot I try NOT to continue looking at him, because I don't want to be way too obvious. Of course I'm very very shy. I really think it depends on the girl and the situation, I don't think any female or male on here can definitively say one way or the other. |

being intimidated by looks can be a factor but in my case if I am intimidated by how beautiful she is and find myself staring outside of 2 seconds (?) I force myself to look away, but I am going to be taking another look for sure, if we lock eyes, and I look away, im going to be looking back again for sure. Is it the same for women? And if so can we conclude that if a girl looks away and then looks back, lets say twice for safe measure, then she is interested? Lets assume that i only look away if im not interested in the girl, like shes coming closer to me and then i realize that she is .. not my type at all... so i look away and don’t look back. i believe that the same is even stronger for women, if there not interested, or appalled, they look away. And if she looks away and doesn’t look back then she’s not interested. But it still doesn’t answer the question what is she thinking right at the moment she realizes im looking at her… she has an escape rout, she can look away… why does she choose not to take it? |

Well my friend you're never going to pinpoint exactly what a girl is thinking when your eyes meet. It's never quite as cut and dry as "two looks and she likes me!" I'm afraid.
