i thought i was the only one who noticed that....
but ya i hope uplifting doesnt die, im doing what i can here to promote it
hopefully those rumors of a gouryella single/CD arent false and they'll come to save the day.

I am surprised now one mentioned Johan Gielen yet!
He has always stuck to the roots and played epic trance!
A lot of his productions are now classics!

uplifting will never die.. and it hasn't.. it just that so many people stick with listenin to the same producers and djs so they don't see whats the upcoming cycles...
there are tons of uplifting tracks out there,... just look at the obscure tracks..
but i think 2002 will be the year of uplifting..
it will be back.. and it will rule..
it will be led by a certain AvB.... and perhaps ferry will revert back to his old ways...
but pvd.. not sure about him.. Tiesto.. blah to him..
Push... blah blah..
hmmmmm we shall see eh

Well I never thought I would say this but Tiesto's lost the plot big time, it's sad to see someone who has pretty much defined epic trance for the last couple of years, suddenly go all introspective on us.

So I guess it's up to the indefatigable Mr. Corsten and the mighty Dumonde to save us from the evil forces of prog ...

My dark horse prediction - keep an eye on Oakenfold, I know he's been written off a lot lately but he's done so much incredible stuff over the years, my prediction is that he's gonna come storming back with some jaw dropping epic track any time soon. Bring it on my son :D :D :D :D

yep id have to agree with the tiesto/pvd comments... there turning more progressive by each day :(
anyone have the new ferry corsten at dance department set? even that seems a little more progressive :(
i have faith in producers like armin/darren tate/fire and ice/push/dumonde (and there remixes)/etc. although armin is spinning more progressive stuff, his productions (perpetuous dreamer, rising star etc) are quality uplifting stuff.
i miss pvd's sets like the old berlin, tiesto's dutch dimension/groove radio, ferry corsten trance energy 2000 :) oh well, some 'bigname' dj out there hopefully still likes uplifting and will save us! :)

Afew that will help save uplifting trance are Lange (part of Firewall, and personally one of the most talented producers EVER), Tiesto (this is debatable, but I don't think tiesto will turn completely progressive, he'll remember his roots always), Ferry Corsten (although recently he's dissapointed, he is still a master of uplifting trance, and every now and again will continue to blow our minds), Fire & Ice (need I say more? Souvenir De Chine, those who don't like it, don't know what trance is all about!), Armin Van Buuren (his productions are always strong, and although he spins about 50/50 uplifting/prog. his productions are almost always uplifting and will be for a long time to come), M.I.K.E (a.k.a Push, Plastic Boy, Moon Project, etc. by far my favourite producer, and although alot of his work is progressive, he is also a master of uplifting/deep tunes, and he never lets me down), and of course Johan Gielen (with great works as Airscape, even though he hasn't put anything of great quality out in a lil while, he will definetly NOT go prog. he is one of the last remaining good uplifting trance djs!). There are plenty more, but too many to name! The only reason unfortunately that alot of our producers are goin prog. is because they're losing their creativity :( ! Although I personally think the possibilities melodically are limitless... we need new fresh trance producers to come throw out some new ideas and if these guys have no creativity left, then they should make way for the new breed! I know even if NO good uplifting trance is released for a while, I satisfy my own needs by making my own music, what better way to hear what you want? :D

Anyhow, Peace.

Tiesto is indeed moving toward progressive I think, doing a good job but sure it's a pity for the uplifting fans. But Ferry Corsten, and Armin van Buuren even more, will save the day like they have been doing until now. At least, that's what I think.

OK, let's drop a new name. What do you guys (& girls) think about Cor Fijneman? Not as big a name as he should be (IMO) but I heard some pretty good uplifting stuff from him lately.

BTW I'm trying to get a hold of Armin van Buuren's 003 (In motion) but having trouble finding it. Any tips?

For productions ....Armin and Corsten can always keep making epic and make it so damn amazing!!! wit there signature beats and basslines and synths........ and few others who always make amaizing stuff!!....but majority of the epic out now is just terriable!!!! pure crap! hehehhe ...... as long as those few guys make the tunes they make now we wont have to worry of losing epic and uplifting trance!!!
