Without a doubt he is the most technically advanced DJ in the scene at the moment. I think he find it hard in that everyone is expecting that of im and he doesnt get much time to craft a set outsde of the crazy stuff he does.
I really enjoyed his set though - i only left front center stage for water and didnt want it to end.
Those of you who didnt enjoy it remember this is not the usual style of music you hear - no one does what he can do and therefore who are we to judge how his set should sound. From what I could see the crowd was well into it - he got a larger cheer at the end than both Tiesto and Armin got Guys jumping all over the place and judging by the beautiful arses shaking of some of the girls in the VIP the set went off just as planned.
He really seemed to enjoy it too - the man is an example to us all of what can be done with the equipment we all own - just practice and we could do that - James Zabiela is the way forward. No matter what genre of music you listen to the guy will be one to follow in the way sound scan be manipulated by an individual DJ.
Don't be surprised if he is in the DJ Mag Top 5 in 2004! |

he's so good you had to post it three times!
and zabiela was ranked #11 last year. so top 5 is NOT that big of a stretch. it's just that i don't see him getting more votes than tiesto, pvd, armin, or sasha and diggers just based on popularity. he definitely deserves it though. |
