cause i have MANY serb friends, who i'd die for, believe me,
but we're not all yugos. true this IS canada, so we're all
canadian citizens: which determines our nationality legally.
but our heritage is all distinctly different.
Dr.Z, u can consider yourself anything u'd like, serbian, croatian,
bosnian, or canadian, its not up to me....
i just know that personally, i am croatian, which is DISTINCTLY
different than serbian or bosnian, or even macedonian.
remember, i respect ALL nationalities and have nothing against anybody.
but my people struggled for may decades to have our own
country and flag, and i REALLY value that....
BUT, the hottest women FOR SURE are from the balkan region.
NO DOUBT about that....have been to dozens of countries
worldwide, and the most BEAUTIFUL women are serbian or

"Former" Yugo's, Serbian or Croatian are some of the most beautiful women in the world! For some reason they can easily be spotted across the city from nighclubs to shopping malls.
But how did we know this would cause a Political battle.
I guess thats what happens when you have a relatively small country geographically, numerous diverse religions and centuries of time. |

Our so called "heritage" is what caused closed minded people to turn on each other. For what? For nothing.
The balkans are too small, and there was no way that it would have made it in modern society without some kind of unification. Its true, our ancient history might be different, but our present history is the same.
Tito did the right thing, Former Yuga was the only thing that would have kept us world class..
And look what the people do to it now...
Is this the struggle that you want?

IMO Tito and the way he ruled "Yugoslavia" was the reason that place fell apart/that area erupted into violence in the first place. He built up Yugoslavia on a series of falsified legends and myths. And as we all know, by looking back into various occurences throughout the history of mankind, a forged and manipulated history can and will eventually explode, and when it does the entire structure that the history was based on will completely collapse.
And what exactly was world class about the FORMER Yugoslavia? OK in the 1960's the economy was DECENT, it was completely different than that of other Eastern Bloc countries. Living conditions in places like Slovenia, Croatia and Serbia were far better than the conditions of Slavs living throughout Soviet controlled East Central Europe met but it all started to go to s in the early 1970's and from there on in it just got worse and worse. You had tiny regions like Slovenia which produced 1/4 of the ENTIRE Yugoslav GDP, again using Slovenia as an example the unemployment rate was never more than 5%, and then you look at a place like Kosovo where the unemployment was %50, obviously the polarity between the North and the South was just too much to (you essentially had a few people carrying everyone else in that country) ask for in the way of wanting that whole region to stay together. I can't see how anyone could even fathom to think that they should stay together under those particular sets of circumstances. And then on top of that were the other issues of freedom vs communism vs democracy vs whatever etc etc...

The problem is that everything started to fall apart and turn into violence AFTER Tito died. And you can't say it was because of his fabricational stories because he didn't rule that way. What he did was, he created Yugoslavia, and said, "we are all Yugo now, and our history starts now. (after WWII)" He mingled with the working class, gave them benefits and ruled the proper socialist way.

Its true, such conditions could cause instability but these things started happenening in the last 2 maybe 3 decades in Yuga. Coincedentaly after Tito died...
Basically, what is occuring is the dismantleation of Yugoslavia, the opposite of which Tito created. The closed minded Nationalists think its a blessing, but when we look into the future for these countries...

I think every nation has it's beautiful women but us yugo people tend to be more proud of them .

u ever been on a soccer game down there????
now, that is some scary , rockets flying across the stadium, and EVERYBODY knows about fights between rivals (PARTIZAN-zvezda, dinamo hajduk, etc)
down there we call soccer "second most important thing on the planet", and if we're willing to go to those lenghts on games, what do you think why every 50-ish years is war back home?
we have lived on a cursed land (balkans, 2 words "bal"-honey, "kan"-blood, old turkish words), and we are cursed, when there is no more reasons for war, no this no that, and everybody is happy, we will find banal reason like, lets say soccer.
it's not politics, it is much more ed up that that. |
