Wow...I was listening to XFM and a song came on by Green Atlas. It was called Circulation.
I checked DISCOGS and its a song from this year (I think January).
The funny thing is, it may be a first release under "GREEN ATLAS", but they are none other than Agnelli & Nelson!!
Thought that was cool... hope to hear more from Green Atlas (or Agnelli & Nelson, always liked their stuff).:D |

Hmm, funny. Somehow Green Atlas sounds familiar, more familiar than a name that made just one track so far...
By the way, why would they produce tracks under a diff alias if its exactly the same ppl producing it? Or are there other people involved as well? |

There are many reasons why producers use different aliases. Sometimes they use an alias if the track is a different feel from what they produced using another name. Some of this has to do with different sounds or equipment they use to produce a certain track. For example, if you listen to System F tracks, they have a pretty similar feel. Compare them to tracks that Ferry produced under his own name and they sound a little different.
Also, a producer might use an alias for anonymity. I can't think of any examples off the top of my head.
And on topic, Agnelli and Nelson have some quality tracks under the alias Afterburn as well. |

Aphex Twin is one of the best case examples of this. In his case, I believe he at first started producing under other names because his label owned the name: "Aphex Twin", but later used it a source of anonymity |

| Their great at producing but horrible at remixing. How ironic. |

More often than not is becuase that particular alias is a copyright of a label they are on, so the only viable option is to create another. |
