That's right, my decks should be deleivered tomorrow...
...now i have a small problem.

I have spent almost all of my money on my decks and i dont get paid for another month. However, I have enough money for about 6 vinyls to practice with. The genre's I want to specialise in is mainly trance (some hard house). Now I need you opinion on some of the tracks i should buy.
I am concidering, in no particular order, the following:
Yves de Ruyter - Back to earth
Barthezz - on the move
Members of mayday - 10 in 01
JFK - good god
Ratty - Sunrise
Cosmic Gate - Fire wire
Voodoo & Serano - Blood is pumpin'
Norman Bass - How U Like Bass (Warp Brothers Mix)
Mauro Picotto - Komodo
lock n load - house some more (if i can get hold of it)
ESP - Traveller
Mario Piu - the vision
911 - the 4 commitments
DJ Balloon - Lovers (but i doubt i can get that now)
Scot project - future is now
System F - Exhale
Da Hool - Meet Her Love Parade

.. so do you have any other suggestions i should consider, taking in to account my taste... any suggestions will be much appreciated

All those songs you listed are good. In fact I have a few of 'em. Since I merged my collection with a friend's I have a lot of extra vinyl I don't need including Voodoo & Serrano - Blood is Pumping and Members of Mayday - 10 in 01.

They're almost all 2001 releases and in mint condition. I'm willing to sell 'em cheap depending on how many you want. PM if you're interested..

Any information on what kind of turntables and mixer u have? Just curious...

here's my advice...try to go for tracks that are unknown to most people (sooo not like barthezz or members of mayday), becuz you can spin unknown tracks 2 years from now, the ones that are well-known ya can't play 6 months from now (well, ya can, but they'll be old)

Indeed, I don't want to remember how long I've spent waiting for my babies, but now I wouldn't give them away again. Good luck at spinning!

Yer,thats a good idea...
Just one question, where do i find these rare tracks? I don't wanna buy online really!
DJ Fien
Just listen to everything! Its a lot easier to find unknown tracks that are of the progressive or hardhouse style though; just simply because any of the epic/uplifting trance that is halfway decent gets pounded down by the big dogs while they are still in promo stage.

buy the records you want.

when I first got my decks the guy I bought them from said "when you start buying vinyl buy songs that you love, ones you'll want to listen to over and over again and still love them"

I mean chances are you aren't going to be the next tiesto or pvd (not bashing i probably will never even spin in a club) but you might as well enjoy the tracks you love and if they include some unknown tracks then that's great too :)

Well I don't even plan on playing publically yet, but here in the UK... well in my town anyway it is quite easy yo get a set in a local club aslong as u can do them a decent demo tape. It wont necessarily be a permanent set but a few of my friends have done it n one of them has a permanent set. the only trouble is that that are all into commercial/pop music so they all tried the same club but there a are like 12 clubs in my small town n apparently a few of them are looking for young amateur djs... but im not even up to bedroom standard yet, so im not even gunna consider playing publically till i have done a few house parties etc first! hehe! fingers crossed tho!
