Yeah, Oakie says its a good club so it must be.
Next time hes in town, id like him to stay on the dancefloor the whole night, then we'll see if his feelings stay the same.

As for Release, props to them for being such a great source for vinyl. Good staff, and always a good shopping experience when i go.

Oh god, let's not start the anti-guv again. We aready did it for like 25 pages last time.

But release, yeah it's wickkid stuff, and now that I have money again, it's time for me to start feeding my addiction.
The don't call vinyl black cocaine for nothing!

Can we smoke in Release ??

First off, congrats to the Release boys, it just goes to show what hard work can do for you.

Also, in regards to the "proof that Guv is so good" skewed logic here, this is merely proof of what makes our scene, and any industry, move.

Word of mouth/circles of influence. One reason Guv does so well is the promoters and booking agents are friends with the agents/djs that play there for the most part. Same for Boa.. DJ Demi(a resident) is a protege of Danny Tenaglia if I am correct.. and friends with Victor Calderone etc, and the positive word got out regarding Boa amongst that group, and now it seems like that group of DJs/producers are spending a lot of time there.

Same could be said for System's Breathe Fridays.. over the past 2-3yrs they've rammed it with top-notch talent from Prog to Techno to Breaks DJs... (I'll never forget Adam Freeland on my birthday)..

Jerome and Adam have done very well combining quality product with quality service, and also being there in the scene, making sure they are on the ground level, because they live the Toronto scene. We are lucky to have RR.

no no, this is from Marilyn Manson - Irresponsible Hate Anthem. the crowd is chanting this mantra of "we hate love, we love hate". The song is actually a mockery of what people think of Marilyn Manson and his fans.

the carebears never popped into my mind ;p i like that.

Oakey is an alchoholic. It looked like he was having a good time that night. (for once)

Half the time he was sitting down or just leaning over the dj booth and simply staring with a blank look on his face at the people on the stage...it was kind of weird actually...:nervous: He just looked at me with no emotion on his face for about 15 seconds when i was on the stage screaming "YEAH OAKIE" :haha: :haha:

I was just going to mention that Guv can get quite mental in terms of capacity, but it's still one of the best clubs in the world.

Whilst waiting in the lineup for Bedrock @ Heaven, I struck up a conversation w/ an english bloke. I go "I'm from Toronto", he goes "I've heard about Guv, and I've heard it's crazy".
