took out 1 of my wisdom tooth. it ING HURTS!! it's been 3 days and the pain wont go away. it was a surgical process since my tooth grew crooked beneath the skin so the dentist had to scratch the tooth little by little and finally rip the roots out from the gums.

how long did it take for the pain to go away for you?

ooooooww:nervous: :nervous: :nervous:

I was never really in pain from getting the wisdom teeth themselves pulled, but the dry sockets that followed were another story.

i got all four out last friday, and i'm still having mild pain. it takes a while. take advil religiously. even if you're on painkillers. and drink chicken broth.

I don't even know if they understand what causes dry sockets, all I know is they hurt like hell. The procedure they used to cure mine went as follows:

a) Go to periodontist to have them checked
b) Stuff -tasting medicated gauze into the cavities with a sharp metal object that pokes your severely tender gums and makes you want to punch the technician in the face repeatedly.
c) Repeat this process for about a week.

It was great, really.
Turbonium
I've never been told, or even mentioned, by my dentist that I may have to take them out.

What made you guys have to take them out?

Its when the cavities where your teeth used to be dry up because the blod doesnt clot right after the surgery.
