I've seen DJ Irene several times back in Utah and she's always put on a good show. The crowds have always been dancing their heart's out. She's got a different style than a lot of dj's but she never fails to deliver. |

There were 5 stages: trance, Tech/breaks, house, D&B,& hip-hop room.
From those 5 i think the tech and breaks room was the . i was there around 1:00 when hybrid was on and it was my first time seeing them live and i really dig their style! the whole room was trippy too, people trying to pop and and it really suited the music.
i've also switched rooms 2 times and checked out oakenfold and his sets were pretty decent, and not bad like the reviews i've heard...
btw, who were the ones playing when those trippy creatures and samurai shows came on with those asians girls with fire? were they rabbit in the moon?
and the dj that was playing "tears for fear - shout (skylark remix)"? |

the trippy group was Rabbit in the Moon...they were insane! and the girl dj that played that skylark track was Sandra Collins...also very excellent. some other tracks that she played were: pako & fredrick - 45 minuetes(medway rmx), the rapture - house of jealous lovers (some rmx), and uhhh what else? OH that motorcycle track i think it was deep breath love i'm not sure. and oakenfold was quite awesome, i swtiched between him and hybrid and i have to say they were both quite amazing. i came back to oakenfold when he played u2-beautiful day (perfecto rmx) into ppk - resurection...DEFINETLY made my night. i had a lot of fun!

yea when i just entered the trance room i heard a track that suited the typical styles of a motorcyle track. sandra collins always impresses me, with fresh and new tracks but this time i didnt even know it was her as the area was pretty packed at the time and i was pretty ed up...:D
didnt get to watch oakenfold finish his sets since i was going crazy over hybrid's finishing tracks. |

rabbit in the moon's show was really crazy. i can't say i digged the music and live production of it too much though. (don't get me wrong i'm a huge fan of their music, "deeper" and "out of body experience" are two of my all time fav. songs) but their performance was crazy. i had such a good time watching them perform. all the crazy costumes the video the people swinging from the cieling, the fire dancers, the chinese dragon. haha they are a bunch of characters
what really made the night for me though was Doc Martin and Hybrid.
I really wish Doc could have played longer, but i guess if he did i would have missed hybrid. that guy is a ing master of house. i hadn't danced so hard in a long time.
Hybrid's set was wicked also. I wish they could have played longer also. i danced so hard during their set that my neck is now sore today. I loved the remix of symphony they played at the very end. |

| i personally had never seen rabbit in the moon untill last night, and from there productions, i expected something more along the lines of deepsky, but man was i wrong. that was deffinatley a show. irene threw down. i couldnt belive she crowd surfed. glaude was pretty good as well. and no matter what i really enjoyed okie's set. i couldnt believe that he ended with ressuection, good . unfortunatley i didnt get to see any of hybrid cause i was watching all of oakie. it was great to because i was with my 3 homies when oakie dropped the U2 remix, and i knew it sounded familiar, but couldnt figure out what it was and this dood next to us was like, ITS THE BEAUTIFUL DAY REMIX!!. and the it broke and the crown went nuts. we were inches away from the front. |

| Nocturnal was fun, but I thought EDC was much better in the sense of overall atmosphere, rides and vibes. I got there at about 5 PM and waited till 6 to see Donald Glaude, and man, he mixed such a hard set. After Glaude was about to give the decks to Irene, one of Irene's camera men fell off the 5 foot stage and smashed his head on the siderailing. Amazingly, he got up and continued filming. After Glaude got off, I didn't really feel like staying around for Irene so we headed over to the outdoor house stage and chilled till about 830. Right around about 9 we took a pill and walked around. By the time Sandra Collins came on, we were rolling hard and I watched pretty much her whole set, it was much better than the other set I've seen her spin. Then Oakey came on and it was a pretty good set. What really started it for me during Oakey's set was when he spun Piledriver, I love the track and it really kicked my ass. All in all it was a good night/morning and I can't wait for Monster Massive. :D |

| Oh yeah i just remembered when rabbit in the moon were performing, the police dude that came outta nowhere started yelling @ everybody the party was over, hahahahaha i was like get the off the stage and stuck two middle fingers at him. It was hilarious how they busted the skits. |
|
|
| dj_bas |
that was you with the middle fingers? i saw you! oh man that poor guy got nailed with water bottles...the whole time i was yellin "run homeboy run!!...this aint worth the paycheck!" then bunny crowd surfed...and did that thing with the bonesaw and his metal mask... that was a tight performance
