he can play both in centre and to right of defence.

| thing is though, liverpool are in need of a right midfielder and centre back.. not sure why hes signing josemi, whos best position is at right back where steve finnan and jamie carragher spring to mind! well, he knows better than me i suppose. maybe carragher will play central defence.? |

Benitez is a very defensive-minded coach. I think I read somewhere that Valencia conceded the least goals of any side ever in the Spanish Primera last season and they were certainly built on defence. It doesn't surprise me that he is looking at your defence first. But I agree I think you need to sort out your right midfield first, maybe he has something lined up.
Arsenal's contract negotiations with Trabelsi look like they could fall through which would leave Newcastle in a good position to sign him. He's exactly what we need, but I'd be surprised (and excited) if he did end up in a Newcastle shirt. |

Benitez says Le Tallec can go out on loan :eyes:
poor Houllier kids. :stongue:
Diouf out
Biscan out
Diao out
Traore out
Bring in a World class right winger, and buy a centre mid like Ballack when Hamann wants to leave. |

| The media here seem pretty confident that Nicky Butt will sign for Newcastle this week, for a fee of around 2.5M. |

Ok...predictions
Man Utd has more infighting this year (nothing new)
Wenger and Fergie have a row again
Man Utd wins the premier this year (because every time we finish out of the top spot, we win the league the following year)
Heskey will get charged with something and no one will care
Alan Smith will get suspended for some offense
Surprise of the year, I reckon will be Newcastle UTD
Chelsea will adopt the 1-7-3 formation at some point
Boro might surprise people this year, I reckon they will. |

| I hope Ambramovich leaves chealsea, leaving them up the duff and then the club collapses |

| it looks almost certain hat Vieira is leaving. That would be catastrophic to Arsenal's hopes both domestically and in Europe. Gee I hope he doesn't leave. Flamini seems to be a good player, but he definitely isn't Patrick Vieira. I guess with Henry still there though anything could happen. |

Viera leaving is as credible as the Gerrard to Chelsea rumour. Does Steven Gerrard play for Chelsea? No. Is Viera wearing the white of Real Madrid? No. Nothing to worry about. |

| I agree, I can't see Vieira leaving. Real Madrid were very poor last season and Arsenal got further in the Champions League than them. If it's the Champions League that he dreams of, he has as good a chance with Arsenal as anyone else given the form they showed last season. |
