John 00 Stole the Show

There isn't much better than witnessing a world class DJ rip it up on a wicked system. Anyone that was in the main room @ WEMF for John 00 Flemming's expierenced exactly that.

After a sub par performance from Motorcyle's lead signer, the vibe in the Destiny Main Stage took a plunge. Then John 00 stepped up to the decks and gave a lesson in what DJing is all about. Track by track he built that room back up. His set was a perfect example of programming and flow. Not to mention the mixing was flawless. There is no doubt in my mind that John's set was THE set of WEMF 2k4.

There are lots of other highlites to the weekend, but I'll save those for the official review thread. I just though John's set deserved a special mention and I think everyone else in that room knows exactly what I'm talking about!
TO guy
I agree that John 00 had a freat set. But for set of the weekend I would have to say that Doctor Trance and OS/2 had the best set, laying out anthems from the past 10 years.
Hootchis
laying out anthems all night hardly makes it the set of the weekend.
Matt
j00f definitely had an awesome set!

dr trance and os/2 played a wickid set as well... Urban Train brought the place to their KNEES

last night was just MASSIVE... probably the best party I've ever been to :)

Will write full review later.

The setup was ed up! (grant-it i was busy interviewing Lab 4 and Gielen during her set so i didn't hear anything but the start of Deep Breeth Love. But she said after our interview that its tough to get the proper sound out of that system, vocal wise cause the mic cut out low levels so she had to shout to be heard.

As for the set that stole the show.....(i didn't hear J'00'F's set, was outside with the other DJ's doing interviews) was

D:FUSE!!!!!!

to come on after Madam Zu to play progressive? hey it worked. his sets are awsome.

ps. all interviews and sets of alot of the DJ's at the show will be aired over the next month on amplifiedradio.com

ya man, we didnt have any energy to stay for 00s set, but we (Jess and I) had rented a little cottage for saturday and satnight. It was about a 5 min walk from WEMF. it was actually the next intersection to the south right on the corner. and we heard his set from our bed, and it sounded really good I actually wanted to go back over, but I was too tired.

maybe ill go see him at boa coming up. gotta say it again wemf rocked this year. Destiny totally redemed themselves from last year.

Agreed 100%

I have never heard a set even that good from Jon 00 Fleming. Even as amazing as he was at Viva last year, this set blew it out of the water.

Fawk, can you possible get enough of those Basslines! All those tracks where the beat cuts out and fires back in, only to stop again after the next few measures to drop back in like a BOMB! You can't help but lose it on the dance floor!
j_spot
to everybody who loved his set.
it is exactly like his ASOT XXL set from a few weeks back.
DL that, and you can relive WEMF all over again!

its on my MD, and I KNOW ill be grooving the plane ride home

J00F friggin blew my mind!!! After that set, my love for psy/prog-psy trance is renewed!

The whole expereience with J00F was brilliant - amazing track selection, perfect order, flawless mixing - this was easily one of my favorite DJ sets ever.

I'm going to have to try and swing some plans so I can see him @ Boa. When I spoke to him before his set @ WEMF - he sounded ~REALLY~ juiced-up about Boa.
