| Well I grew up in sunny palm beach FL.... Mainly surfed reef road. Juno pier, and jupiter inlet..... Also made trips 20min north to sebastion inlet(where kelly slater is from). Surfed pretty much from the age of 8 to the age of 20 then i moved to NYC and i havent touched a board in about 10months.... If you need me to recomend some spots in FL hit me up... New smyrna is really nice... Just watch the sharks... Cocoa is a bit lame but still some good surf on occasion..... But if you really want a tight break stick with sebastion as its prolly the best spot on the eact coast. Cant get pretty crowded and also the locals are not friendly sooo beware... |

Thanx for the info frost. Yea I just heard some things about cocoa beach being a popular spot, though as we all know popular doesn't necessarily equate to a good spot. When I hit up florida I'll definate keep some of these spots in mind. I hit up Daytona for spring break last year, but that was more of a nightlife/atmosphere type trip (no surfing there). Been a while since I picked up my bored, and even longer since I've seen choice waves. Been almost 4 years since I moved up to NJ from Cali, and I definately miss my home breaks. But it's good for the soul to go out and find new things, so I'm lookin forward to broadening my horizons and finding some choice east coast waves. |

It would be one hell of a find if Ibiza had good surf. I mean, from what I've heard, the MED isn't all that great at producing swells, not like the ocean cuz the currents dont work the same. Might be good for some skippy or scrag surf. Still to be able to surf ibiza in the twilight, still being able to hear the sweet sounds of Cafe del mar as the sun drops below the horizon. Awww I think I gave myself a stiffy rite there...:D |

hahah i could picture that (even though ive never been there ;) )
in la jolla when the sun was setting everyone would just stop surfing and just sit on thier boards facing the sunset and just chill, god i miss doing that it was so much fun, i love catching that last wave while the sun is setting it gives me goosebumps! |

| I've been surfing for 15 years. Mainly in my hometown, Folly Beach SC, the waves aren't great (except during hurricanes) but it's a lot of fun. Yeah Folly Beach, best break between Sebastians inlet in FL and the Outer Banks. I only get to surf during the summer, Washington DC doesn't have any good breaks, and I don't have a car to get to the beach. |

Yea bro, surf girls are the chillest, but In my past experience, they make for better friends than girlfriends. Why? Because you always end up coming in second to good breaks lol |

yeah ill give you that they are sneaky.. my ex-girl used to surf and man we used to hit the beach every morning together before we each went off to work. we'd get up mad early and just load up the cherokee and pop in some paul van dyk (i remember pvd's "vega" driving over the bridge and just being at one with the world, while watching the sun rise) :haha: theres nothing better than catching some good waves before you have to go to work.
music + surf + girlfriend = me :D  |

... i want to learn how to surf SOOOOOOOOO bad. i also want to learn to skateboard, but i think that is easier to teach yourself than surfing |
I would recommend teaching yourself how to skateboard, thats what i did, i just borrowed a board from a friend and went into a parking lot one day after school. That comes pretty quick, its easy trust me!. Now as for the surfing omg the first time i tried it was hell, its so hard its not like snowboarding or skating at all it feels completely different, but its fun. i would recommend that you get out there, rent a board, and charge some waves. its summer time so its all good. If you get serious about it, then in the winter months try snowboarding to get head straight :D A big part of surfing is working out bc its hard on your arms when youre paddling like a maniac so in the winter work out too. Its a lot of fun i hope you seriously pick it up WHY NOT! thats what i say try. good luck |
