Okay, when I try to run certain programs (only a few). I get an error message that looks like this:
"AppName: cohupdater.exe AppVer: 0.0.0.0 ModName: kernel32.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.1106 Offset: 00016b97
"This error report includes: information regarding the condition of CohUpdater.exe when the problem occurred; the operating system version and computer hardware in use; your Digital Product ID, which could be used to identify your license; and the Internet Protocol (IP) address of your computer."
Then some other stuff that doesn't matter.
Anyone got any ideas what's going on and what I can do to fix it? |

| Yeah, I play City of Heroes. Well, I haven't been for awhile because I've been trying to figure this out. |

i have no idea what the game city of heroes is, but i have a few points that i can suggest (just my 2 cents) ...
- what programs do you try to run when the message pops up? are you running on broadband or dial-up? ..maybe the CohUpdater is still open while you are running other stuff, and when the updater can't update it's information, it pops the message.. is it an online game?
- did you recently change operating systems? change a new modem? a possibility of driver conflicts with the modem and you need to reload the game. or if you changed os's, you will need to update everything sometimes..
- probably the game has some kind of automatic updater for game updates.. you can probably deactivate it, telling it to stop looking for game updates..
- did u rip or "steal" the game from someone else?? . don't want to be harsh and everything, but the digital id may not match with the game, causing the message to come up..
many possibilities.... |
