Hi there,
Next month i am gonna be upgrading my ty Gemini KL-10 mixer. I was thinking between these 3 mixers but i have not tried any of them out. What is the best of the 3 mixers? And also should i consider any other mixers except these??

I would also check out the denon 1500.

Out of them all i'd personally choose the djm because it's the only mixer I've used. lol.

I have a djm-600 and it's served it's time brilliantly, altho I'm having some problems with it now. I am also in the market for a new mixer and I can probably say that it will be the xone 92 I go for.

Hey M8!

Please don't put djm600 as a choice when comparing to a much higher quality mixers as Xone 092 or Xone 092Rotary, Rane MP2016 + XP2016. If you want more choices to pick from then here you go:

Allen & Heath Xone 092 Rotary brand new for 2004
Crest Audio CP6210 + CP6220 Xpansion Unit brand new for 2004
Rane MP2016 + XP2016
Rane MP44 redesigned in 2003
Allen & Heath Xone 464
Allen & Heath Xone 092 brand new for 2004

Cheers...

ps. email me at [email protected] for special fellow TA pricing.

Yes because I had it fed thru a radio sound system!!

But now that I've upgraded sound system I think it's time to try the 92.

And I still stand by that statement - The xone 62 is bought for superior sound quality - so whats the point in buying it then feeding it thru e speakers.

I would highly recoommend purchasing the xone92 rotary from Shehryar Qamar. The sound quality you get from a bottle of liquid laundry detergent is unbelievable.

you Shehryar.

Here's my $0.02 on mixers, don't get pissed if i don't like your's b/c this is my personal view. ;)

In terms of sound quality:

1. Rane MP2016/xp2016
2. A&H Xone:92 (Extremely close to rane)
3. Pioneer DJM600 (pure crap sound quality in comparison)

In terms of use and function:

1.A&H Xone: 92 (i never use alot of the effects found on the pio, and the lfo filters cannot be beat on xone mixers)
2. Pioneer djm600 (made w/ lots of stuff in mind like samplers, and loaded w/ effects)
3. Rane MP2016/XP2016 (great rotary mixer, except it's not loaded with bells and whistles like others. IN all a GREAT quality solid mixer for solid mixing)

MY personal top choice mixers:
1. A&H Xone:92
2. Rane Empath (i love mine)
3. Bozak CMA-10
4. Rane MP2016 w/ xp2016
5. A&H xone:62
6. Ecler NUO:5

Mixers i don't like:
1. anything made by peavy, and all newer stanton
2. Behringer knock offs
3. some geminis with the exception of the old umx series
4. Personally i don't really like the djm500/600, but that's just me.
5. Anything that comes w/ a dj-in-a-box type setup. it's all junk.
beats and beeps
I'd get the xone:92 for sure.

To be honest, if i were you i wouldnt even consider the djm. I know many people on this forum love them, and everything, and they are fine mixers. But they are getting to be outdated in the 4 channel with effects section. The denon dnx-1500, and the nuo5 both beat the djm's hands down. Not to mention they are cheaper.

Nuo5, better sound quality, midi, effects can be customized by plugging it into your computer.

Denon dnx-1500, better sound quality, you can download new effects, and patches for the mixer, it has a tube display, you can change its settings, and that "matrix" thing is so sweet on it. When i was at the shop the guy set 3 channels to the same channel on the matrix. Then each one was dedicated to bass, or mid, or treble. So then you could use the faders to play with the eq...it was pretty fun.

I have owned the DJM-600 and currently have the Rane 2016 MP + XP. I have never owned or used any A&H but I hear good things about them.

If you care about sound quality don't go with the DJM-600. It has nice features and a nice design but the sound quality is pretty poor in my opinion.

As I said I have the Rane and I love it. It takes some getting use to but once you fall in love with it you aren't going to want to touch anything else. You should be able to pick up the MP + XP for $1500US but remember that it is a rack mounted mixer. You can't set it on its back like you can with the DJM-600. So make sure to factor in the extra cost/time of buying or building a case for it. You can read more about what I had to do here:

I owned a Xone: 62 for a few days and really didn't like it at all. There are some long threads listing the reasons...some other peopel voiced problems they had with AH mixers. All I can say, is I absolutely love my DJM 600. Its so comfortable, and sounds awesome in my opinion. I always wonder if people who accuse certain high end mixers of sounding bad actually know what they're talking about. Like, can you really tell the difference between the quality of a DJM or a Xone 62? How do you determine that? Honestly, all the mixers you listed are all high end expensive mixers, all with qualities that would make it easy to justify buying them.
