| it would def. be a dream come true for me..... esp. with all the crap thats on the mainstream(dj sammy..etc), i would love to hear some quality EDM on the radio. i think its about time NYC has an "ALL EDM" radio station. |

| if it became mainstream the amount of crappy edm thats out there would increase ten-fold. Tons of people would suddenly try to cash in on the new popularity and put out crappy tunes. This is why mainstream music sucks, there are so many damn artists spitting out crap. Every genre of music has its good songs, and thats why I listen to a lot of different types of music, but with so many songs being released most of them are bound to suck. I'd love for the edm scene to stay exactly the way it is, only the people who really care about it are the ones in it, which makes it so great. Going mainstream brings far too many problems. |

i think the level its at now is good
i dont really want it to get bigger i just want it to get some respect
i mean like if you tell someone about trance music about 75% of the time
they will be like "oh isent that rave music where you do xtc?"
iam sick of that crap i hope people will appreciate it more |

| i personally would not want it to go mainstream for the simple fact that it would get way to played out. Have you listened to our radio stations here in NY they have 5 songs on their playlist it is a discrace to music. My only wish is that pvd came to town a little more often. Im not saying residency because the anticipation is a big part of me having a good time at an event |

too much anticipation kills the event, i've found...
consider, if i listen to EDM non-stop all day, it still can't compare to being INSIDE the club, with all the people there. i don't listen to radio regardless, but i'm one to think that having trance mainstream might not detract from the scene as a whole... i could be wrong. so fun to speculate! |

the moment i get up i turn on my PC and run winamp to play tunes. When im in the car i never listen to the radio, just CDs. I probably havnt listened to the radio in over a year. and even at night i fall asleep to music playing.
and thinking of it, i need my club fix again, im probably goin to see Ed Rush and Optical tomorrow night and then sandra collins the following week. |

well what do u think of all the vocal trance that has come out in the past few years? and all those remade 80's/90s songs? I think i like most of em but some of em has me scratching my head :conf: LOLs. some songs work, some songs don't.
KTU's been trying to play some trance mainstream...im starting to dislike ATRC...then again that shiet's madd old to US now...hahaha |

| i think NYC needs a radio station like global dj broadcast in florida. they get the whos who of DJ/producers.... i dont even know if they broadcast EDM 24-7, but haveing something like that would be great for the scene here in the city. |

i think if it becomes mainstream, then drug usage is gonna soar, which means ridiculous amount of nonsense at the clubs
the way ktu is trying to simulate they know edm is good enough |

It would ruin the scene. Dance music is about the underground, especially in new york, and if it becomes pop... ugh don't want to think about it. look what's happening to van dyk. |
