Nothing to say about this, except for the officer should probably be fired. There is NO excuse imo for this kind of force on a child.
"He said the girl was handcuffed at the time the weapon was used."

No, it doesn't look good. It looks downright atrocious. I know that from personal experience, special needs kids can be difficult to deal with, but this sounds horrible.
However, I will await further details to fill in more pieces of the story. The girl may have been unusually strong or a violent type and the implicated officer will no doubt bring this up... but still, already in the handcuffs?!? |

| i just remember my lil 12 yr old step bro taking on 3 cops at teh same time...they shoudl have used the tazer, it woudl have cut down on the assault charges. |

| who cares? hes a veteran, he did what he needed to do, im sure a veteran police officer knows better then a bunch of kids on an online forum. mmkay? |

| sure and electrifying a 9 yr old girl to calm her down is one of the things all police officers would do. |

eh, we are not all kids, and hindsight is 20/20, so of course we can make better judgements from here.
but place us in that situation I am sure we would have been tempted to grab the ol .45 instead. |
