I dont know what its like to be in that situation.
People in the states LOVE trance.
Wait... no.
I just tell them to bugger off. If people are going to sit there and bash you because of the kind of music you listen to then they really arent worth talking to. People need to be more open. |

Techno and Trance are fairly repetitive. But House is gay. Doesn't mean you can't listen to it or that it's bad music though. Unless your audiohomophobic.

| I can relate to you exactly. Hardly anybody in Wisconsin knows what the hell trance is, well, except UWM I suppose on teh TA forum. :gsmile: I have 2 or 3 friends into Trance, but they don't have the persistence to keep up with all the new tracks and events etc. That's kind of what makes Trance and EDM in general unique, there's so much of it, yet not a lot of people know about it (in some parts of the world that is). |

Here in Greece, I say electronic and they reply.."oh, beats and stuff?" :rolleyes: If I say trance, they'll say "trance???? psychedelic???"

I'm never one to discourage the spreading of good music to the not-so-knowledgeable (:p), but telling people that you listen to techno when that isn't strictly true only perpetuates the stereotype that all repetitive dance-like music is "techno". So really, you should be telling them that you listen to trance, but that trance isn't necessarily the sort of music that they think it is. 10 out of 10 for effort though, young one.

Come we all here been trough the same thing,Most of my friends know whats trance though....some times they even try to make EDM with there mouths and ask me to dance.I dance for them and just laugh at the noises that come out of there mouths :stongue:
And when there in my car all the hear is EDM.THere all ways like "Man i feel like im in my Mitzubishi commercial":stongue:
But they dont talk about what i listen to,they even ask me to burn them a CD.
If its Chick give them Vocal Trance
If its A Gangster type give them Drum and Bass
IF Its a Emo kid give them Vocal trance
If punk rocker give them Psy trance
If its a Homosexual give him some Dj Sammy.......lol jk |
