To each his own. I know he is a good dj, but I have no tolerance for ego case dj's. We are all just people that enjoy music and play it for the crowds enjoyment. And when you are gonna get paid $25,000 and you bail because you aren't the headliner. Please. PVD may suck ass sometimes, but he is a way bigger name that BBB. |

Agreed. It was for Global Dance last year. And the irony is that he would have headlined anyway, because PVD got that stomach flu and was in the hospital. |

Easy... Luke Chable, Infusion, Nubreed. There's a trifecta right there. :D
Adam Freeland is popular in the land Down Under but he ain't an Aussie though... he's an Englishman. |

The Avalanches
There's more aussie dance artists than you realise.
P.S. In case you didn't read my other post, if you live in Sydney (or have a decent internet connection), you can hear RUSH every Saturday on Nova969 playing the latest and greatest in trance. It's hosted by waXology (Cameron O'Shea). |

Hmmm... u guys do both come from AUstralia... (presumption) I"m talking about people who aren't from AUs. Either way... u gotta admit, trance isn't big here... It may exist, but not like in Europe or overseas, to many of the places I've seen and witnessed myself...
I have a good internet connection, how do I listen in? |

its true, trance is not known down here in aust :(
im about to turn 18 soon so ill prolly wanna be going to some trance clubs but all of my mates have no clue what trance is... all they know is "techno" and they listen to all this cheezy garbage like nick skitz and mos's hard nrgs so they can look cool (especially in their cars). all they want is bass (too look like they are hardcore), they don't like trance because im assuming they think it sounds "girly" or "weak"
thats basically the problem down here, everyone is trying to look cool, they don't really care if the song is or if they don't like the music they r listening to, just as long as they look cool. :whip:
i really hate this, just wondering if any of the australian TAs ever meet up at clubs or whatever as none of my mates like trance? |

| Bad Boy Bill has more skills than Paul Van Dyk, or any trance DJ for that matter, will ever have. |

I share ur pain.... :nervous: ... I share ur pain :nervous:...
hmmm... read the previous parts of this thread.... THere's an Aussie Thread in TA, and also an Australian trance site...
It's ing true, all these ******s at school wanted me to burn me some of my music to give them..... I only have them REAL TRANCE. ANd not some of the softer stuff I have, from my Dream Dance CDs (Dreamdance is actually very good, most of the tracks are rare). THe didn't like much of it at all... Hopefully they'll keep listening to it and change, instead of turnign their cars inot something made to look cool....
It's a big problem in aus... trying to look cool, people try to kopy the in the American movies they see, and then criticese and hate americans, because they think the US is like in themovies. When I wen to the US, I found that it was less worried about being cool than AUs, where people are desparate to wear lables like FUBU (even thouh they're white), and pay almost twice as much as americans for them.
The reason for all this is simple... AUstralia doesn't have a culture of it's own (c'mon, it's a toddler compared to other nations).... so we copy waht we c on TV.
If u live in Brissi, we could meet up bro... I can sneak out from my concentration camp.... But if u live in another state, I'll see what we can arrange...
It'll be AWESOME if we can get ALL Aussie TAs to meet up.... Maybe pay some mad assed DJ to rock up........ Now THAT would be ing MAD. basically ANYONE in AUS, who loves trance, can see either high energy uplifitin, yet not too-popular (George Acosta), or deep Hard Proggy (sasha, Digweed)...... That would be ing mad... DJs prob hate coming here because trance is so small here .... |
