Album Description
Internationally renowned DJ/Producer/Remixer and all around modern music catalyst Paul Oakenfold returns with a melodic trance monster of an album on "Creamfileds." Throughout his storied career, two releases have stood out as the quintessential Oakenfold mix albums: 1998's "Tranceport" and the recently certified Gold 2002 release, "Perfecto Presents Another World." Both of these releases embodied the uplifting, grandiose trance vibe that helped firmly establish electronic music in the global mindset. With "Creamfields," Oakenfold revisits the vibe of these timeless mix albums, yet in classic Oakey style, he does it with a whole new bag of tricks for 2004
Oakenfold takes the role of the DJ one step further on "Creamfields." The album features original Oakenfold re-edits of every track plus new remixes produced exclusively for this release, including the exclusive Oakenfold 2004 remix of U2's smash "Beautiful Day", an exclusive remix of Oakenfold's collaboration with Jane's Addiction's Perry Farrell, "Time Of Your Life", as well as club anthems from Mauro Picotto, Nubreed, and D:Fuse. With "Creamfields", Oakenfold delivers a full two CD's of the classic uplifting melodic trance sound that he has become famous for, and the re-edits and remixes bring the continuity of the album to a whole new plateau. "Creamfields" is the album that Oakenfold fans have been waiting for. |

Further:
Oakenfold's Creamfields 99 set is my favorite set of all time. I probably listen to it once per week and it -never- gets old.
I'm uber happy to see some of the 99 set tracks remixed and on this release, this guarantees that it will be amazing..
I'm also really happy that Suzy Solar got her track on the release. She's an great dj and an all round awesome gal! Congrats Suzy! |

I couldn't agree more!! I must have every set that he did in '99, and I still think that some of them are by far the best sets I have ever heard!
So excited for this CD to come out!!:eyes: |

BOOOOOOO!
Mixmag Issue 158 (July 2004) has an article saying that Oakie is planning on quitting dance music.
The article even has quotes from BT saying something about Oakie starting a rock band and BT hearing two of the tracks already. It has an additional quote from Tiesto saying that Oakie wants to move out of dance music.
:whip:
Oakie - don't go! Please don't go!!!! |

nice tracklist...
I'll look out for it over here, I'm sure it's due to come out around the same as Creamfields which is in 2 weeks. I still may go, but the idea of spending a weekend in Liverpool makes me cringe. |
