Clubs Make Me Change DJ Name?

| Ran into a weird problem. I got a couple gigs coming up at different clubs but every club owner gives me a hard time with my DJ name. They say I should change it and it sounds too 80s. Everyone around here knows me by DJ Oxygen I know its not the greatest name but it grew on me and it has some meaning to me. All my tracks , mixes , email, AIM SN would have to be changed and the numerous accounts everywhere. I tried thinking of a new name but everything sounds either the same "80s style" or just plain stupid. I think my name is rather unique. There are a lot of DJs like Johnny , Vortex , Boost ,Lake , Turbine that spin around here and I dont see how these names differ from mine. What the f***? am I just going nuts here over nothing? |
