not too bad, but not pro, sounds a bit too loop based, doesn't build. ejay? :p
it's not hard to make one or two minutes samples that sound cool but don't go anywhere, however it is hard to make releasable stuff
anyway we're getting very far out of the topic |

yeah, that two-minute sample is highly repetitive. I like the full version better. =P
I still disagree, however. And part of me respects that as the beauty of the Electronic Music scene. It's easy to make, so a vast array of musical talents and personalities is constantly at your fingertips. I think people can easily use this to their advantage, but they can also put out . |

Hmm, i dont think so. When you compare the production of trance to the likes of say hip hop, id argue that trance is very much more difficult and complex to produce.
I mean in a standard hip hop track what is there? Kick, Bassline, minimal percussion, the odd banjo here and there and some background pads. There must only be like 10 odd channels.
Compare this to a complex trance tune.. for example Bt Vs PvD - Forbidden Fruit.. Absolutely loads going on. Getting the levels correct to a professional standard, with so much going on is not easy.
Granted recent efforts in trance have been lacking, and im only talking about the actuall production of trance not creativity.

I'm not talking about the possibility for complexity. I have created and heard complex trance. There are a myriad of possibilities with in the genre. I was pointing out that creating a trance track is quite easy, when it comes down to it. It is based on many simple numerical systems, and it rarely strays from them. That's probably why I enjoy Goa / Psy-trance the most, for it tends to manipulate and distort those systems more so than the other forms. I think people often forget how seductive music can be (espically in combination with drugs). Even if you don't do drugs and you're just a dogmatic, feebleminded freak, you're still putting yourself in an altered state that tends to be rather captivating. Good luck weathering the storm. |

Yo dude, what's with the language? Someone has a lot of caged / implosion anger inside him. Were you high or something when you posted this.. because I don't see the relevance of "electronic music being easy to create" tying in with any of my previous arguments (which had absolutely nothing to do with you, I might add.)
And you sound like a pretty educated person until you mispelled too :stongue: . Get a ing clue, man. I respect your opinions... but butt the out of conversations that don't involve you. LOL..didnt even see this thread until someone (to whom i talked about the track sounding like Xpander) noticed me about it.
Anyway..though it is inspired it doesnt mean the track is bad.
I actually like it a lot :) but Sasha should be credited somehow heh
