IMHO thats the wrong reason to do it. The room is pretty small I don't know how you would fit your equipment along with the other stuff youll need. Also your roomie might not take kindly to it.

I know it doesn't seem like a big concern, but the fact is theft is a big problem in colleges. I would word would get around that you have some turntables, and all you want is some dick stealing your . I think the ristks outweight the benefits of bringing em...

you dont need tables or instruments, for that matter, to get girls

leave 'em home.

yeah dood..i had this same problem last year or 2 deciding colleges. i was like this im just gonna goto soem community college for 2 years then transfer somewhere else and get a apartment wherever it is. i mean dorm life while djin isnt the best thing in the world. id leave the gear, and just get ed up and party 24/7 and do a lil work haha :stongue: then go home every now and then and rock a sick set

Bro... I speak from experience.. get some nice cases for your tables with reinforced steal locks, then get one of those nice 1/2 inch thick gate chains to latch those puppies to the largest piece of bolted metal in your room :D

its not the turntables(well yes it is) but storage for all that damn vinyl. Im not saying I have a lot, I just think storage for all of it would be kind of hard.

whoa, i take it back. don't take them. make friend with people who acutally like you and not your sexy turntables. at least you're brutally honest. ;)

When I was in the dorms at NC state I had several friends with TT's in their rooms. Nobody ever got em stolen and most of them improved their spinning alot because they would spin alot between classes and stuff. One seems to have a lot of extra free time when staying in the dorms the first year, especialy if yer classes are easy. Leave your door open and spin and just watch all these people come in, you could make lotsa friends that way.

I think its important to bring everything to school that makes you comfortable and happy, cuz yer def gonna want stuff to calm yer nerves when exams and like that are happening. Don't worry about not having enough room or pissing off the roomy, you'd be suprised how much stuff you could fit in that little space if you get creative with it.

I say bring em, but always lock your door, even if yer just going to the bathroom or something, gets stolen the most on those little trips where you thing you will get back before someone goes in there.

I'm in redneck farmer town bible belt so it doesnt happen as much over here, if things are much worse in your area then be really careful.

take the tables if you're addicted. make many friends on your floor, thats one of the better ways to protect them. if there are always people around they'll defend your for you.

Hey hey not everyone plays punk with their guitar lol. But i see what you mean. At school I get some type of special treatment just for being different and DJing, playing so many musical instruments. I am a peoples person anyway i get along with everyone. But really man atleast your honest. Since i see your point take them man. You never know who you might meet.

Trust me i think you can fit it there. If i can fit 2 guitars, my dj equipment,a keyboard, my records/cds, and my computer with desk and a bed in a 10 by 7 room then im sure you can do it.

Hey bitch...there's nothing wrong with punk.:p i'd personally rather rock out to punk than spin trance.
