| i'm so addicted to it because it's so catchy. Trance is like the essance of pure emotion if that makes any sense. |

You are correct. I know for sure that INTJs love anything melodic. They are the type of personality to get bored easily. Also, smarter people tend to love anything melodic.
And since I'm biased, I'm going to say that the best people on earth listen to EDM. |
+1
what's INTJs anyhow?
I agree witht the smart bit... I do feel taht peopole on TA are very intelligent and articulate...
they make statements and tend to back it up real well :)
They are also more accepting of others :)

| wow- i thought i was one of the few people who cared about personality types... i also happen to be an intj... and i think that trance is definitely more intellectual, especially since so much of it is lyricless, your mind has to wrap itself around the melody and the beat... plus the manipulations and the progression, all of that is complete aural sex. |

w00t! you're right on the dot with what you just said. It really is hard for other people that aren't into trance to understand the meaning of the melody and beats that are played into trance. People find the repetitive beat annoying, but everyday when i wake up and go to sleep, i definitely am listening to trance music...it keeps me awake and interested in the things that i'm doing, like my hw or just talking to ppl online. Trance definitely is friggin great unlike many other types of music that are infused with lyrics and goddamn uber repetitive beats.....HAH and i just noticed that ppl that say that trance is repetitive have got to be kidding me, because of how most types of music have repetitive beats. Anywho, Trance is really awesome when it comes to individuality....i think i liked trance because of the way it really correlates to Classical music. And i've been playing the violin for about 8 years. So really, classical and trance are correlated with each other....AND IT'S TRUE!!!! omg :eyespop: |

When I didn't listen to trance (I was young and mislead by the music on radios), I was pretty wide. I could listen to rock and pop as well as country(!) and old disco megahits.
When I started listening to trance (4-5 years ago), all of these other genres faded away, and trance dominated my whole music style. I felt really good, and I can't stand the old disco megahits and country music anymore. Makes me sick and just wanna go away. If people play it, I intend to just walk away because it gives me a terrible headache.
Trance dominates my world. Happy hour, I'm truly a tranceaddict! :happy2: |

this is funny, but i played the violin for 14 years. i still love classical music, but only when i actually see it it live. i think trance is almost the 21st c. version of classical music. most of the producers have even had classical music training, etc. maybe debussy would have been making music like this if he had been living now :) not to say that this is a replacement, since even now there is good classical music being created. |
