I also agree with the ruling simply because if the court had ruled the other way, any two bit official could have had a green light to do whatever he or she wanted regardless of the law.
I'm still sympathetic to the couples, but they were wrong to not go to court first. |

| Here is some more fuel to the fire. I signed a petition enabling a constitutional measure that would define marriage between a man and a woman. (The measure is for my state constitution, not the national.) Missouri just passed a constitutional amendment. Our amendment will be on the ballot in November and it will most likely will pass considering how conservative North Dakota and its 635,000 residents are. |

Hmmm I would sign such a measure too ... if I could also find and sign onto a measure that would eliminate state recognition of all marriages. Alas I doubt such common sense would arise any time this century. |

| And with that, the governer of New Jersey just had a coming party on TV to announce that he was gay, had had a gay affair behind his wife's back, and is therefore resigning effective November 15th. |

Talk about political bombshell, I have some friends who live in New Jersey and they are speechless (for once)
Personally I agree with the California court ruling, imo marriage should be between a man and a woman. The Canadian law may have changed but I'll never recognize it. |
