Excuse me? First time? They got owned by Italy also, lost by 17. And in 2002, the US lost a bunch of games also under George Karl.

This is what happens when a team of mostly thugs goes to play. Simple as that. I do not count Duncan btw. Go Puerto Rico, I hope they get the gold!

they should really stop calling every team from the US the dream team, because they aren't the only real dream team ever was the first squad.

if the other stars weren't such big slobbering pussies, puerto rico wouldn't have a chance.

The reason the US dominated for so many years once NBA players were allowed to participate, is because only the elite were on the team. This year, no one wants to play for fear of injury and terrorism, so the team is plagued with inexperienced players.

Nothing will top this team.

how was that saying anything about how the USA team lost or PR won. People were bitching that the USA lost and how they are the best team out there. No the 1992 Dream team couldn't be touched. USA will never put out as good of a team as that. We have the players, but they are all selfish money hounding...... you think of a word to put there, who won't play for their country.

point and final

i mean- any team in the world could say "oh our stars arent playing."

its just hilarious how everyone is coming up with excuses on WHY usa lost, when people should just say........ok we lost fair and square, it's either time to step it up a notch or be vaginas and cry about it.

Puerto Rico is a solid team, i dont think they should be denied the props they deserve.:wtf:

sure. not I nor anyone else here is making excuses. we're simply stating that if our nation's best were playing, no one would be able to win but the US. also, if you've listen to our players after the game, they themselves speak of how the other teams have outplayed them. Ergo, why would one say that we're crying about anything? I'm certainly not.

Olympics is about money anyways, its whored out worse than any other sporting event in the world.
