So what to do if you wanna GAIN weight???! (pg. 5)

Ive been playing water-polo for like 6 years from 1995-2001, am 20 yrs old now; since 2002 I havent really done any sports like playing in a team or something, played soccer about 1-2x/week or riding my bike for about 10-15km once per week.
when I was playing waterpolo everything was fine, but since 2003 I kinda gain too much weight, not extremely much, but I gained about 20 pounds in 1.5 yrs; that's why I wanna become more active now and build up some muscles, basically just being 'fit'

any advice on how to build up some muscels without really gaining extra weight?

im skinny too. my friends call me mr skinny
im around 6 foot even, and weigh 63kg, no idea wat that is in pounds or watever. oh yeh im 18 too.
i think ive got a fast metabamolism (simpsons:P) cuz i eat a fair bit. more than my friends, yet im skinnier than them. i got no idea how many calories i eat. i drink lots of beer, and i think its slowly making me bigger. drinking a can of vb at the moment actually. haha. this thread inspired me too. i reckon each weekend i lose 1 or 2 kg's thou, from dancing and not eating and stuff..
maybe next year ill start goin to the gym, cuz im a weak prick too

LOL I actually tried that after I watched the movie!!! I'm 5'8" and I've been 134 pounds for the last 6 years of my live give or take 5 pounds here and there.

I can't say what does work but I will say what doesn't work that I have tried.

My 9000+ calorie a day diet. Your thinking how the ? thats too much. Its pretty easy with a lot of pot. Living in college with buffet style caffeteria. And consuming 3x 3000 calorie weight gainer shakes per day. My result was I managed to gain 15 pounds in a year, but as soon as I stopped working out and I quit drinking the shakes I dropped the 15 hard earned pounds in a month. The only cool thing was my stomach stretched out so I could consume as much food as I please. The most I ever ate was 45 slices of pizza hut pizza. By this time I could do the 48 oz. steak challenge no problem.

Consuming foods high in carbos, and saturated fat 30 minutes before bedtime diet. (IE 10 fidy cent tacos from jack in the box) I got the idea from girls, who avoid eating after 9 cuz it makes them fat. This just made me feel sick and wanna sleep later.

Raw food diet. Its a wierd concept in which all the foods you eat are raw. You cook a lot of the nutrients away when you cook food. Raw foodists beleive you can consume less because you retain more nutrients. So I ate more but consumed way more nutrients by going on this diet. I also consumed about a pint of raw olive oil per day. And about a pound of raw dates, dates contain a load of sugar. Result...No gain in weight, but incredible energy and euphoria towards the end of the month, great concetration ability and enhanced though process. Also I only required 3 hours of sleep a day.

Sumo wrestler diet. You skip the meal during high metabolism IE breakfast and lunch. and you eat during the times when its working the slowest around 4-5 pm and late at night. And when you do you consume a lot. This didn't work either. I was lethargic all ing day and had no energy. I did gain about 5 pounds over the course of about 6 months.

Slim Fast diet. I heard from girls that if you go on a slim fast diet and get offa it you'll not only gain it back but plus some. Nice I figured. I went on a slim fast diet for about a month. Soon as I quit I started consuming massive amounts of carbs through 40's and carb drink from GNC and massive amounts of food from Golden Corral. Result was i got a gut but there was an increase of about 3 pounds. But it was an unattractive gut.

Texan Meat diet. I consumed nothing but burgers, brats, bacon, and steaks chargrilled on a gas grill outdoors at my house for about 2 months. This resulted in feeling like crap, and not to mention a meager 4 pound gain. This is bunk for all the cooking effort I put in.

AntiAtkins Diet. This diet was also bunk in fact ATKINS IS BULL!!!! I figure if not eating carbs makes you lose wieght. Then eating loads of carbs makes you gain weight. WRONG!!! I didn't gain weigh notreally, just got a beer gut. And I got really sick of white rice, and pasta. you Dr. ATKINS!!!



End result of going through hell and back to put on a few pounds. Just accept yourself for who you are. Go for the chicks that dig the skinny guys. There's plenty out there, em rotten, and be happy.
