oh thats a reasonable age. i mean you guys are married and able to support the baby; i just dont know. are you guys newly married? have you been married for a few years? she might not want a baby just yet, perhaps she wants to enjoy the marriage for a bit without kids. that is the only thing i can think of. i mean i am female, and i just dont understand it. you DO have a say in it, but i have no idea what to tell you to say. but dont give up if you truly believe in it.
personally, and no offense here, it is a bit irresponsible to not have the baby. you have the means to give the baby a good life and are a good age etc. all things are right for having a baby, just seems a little selfish to me. i do believe in abortion, but i feel at a certain point, you should take responsibilty for your actions. |

Heh, me too!! Well, she had hers last Friday. Welcome to the club. :p
As for Enferno, christ man, what a predicament. 26 is the right age to have a child, I would say. If you've got a house and a decent steady income, that's about as ready as anyone will ever get. Sounds to me like she's just getting cold feet. I mean, it's a daunting task to bring up a kid, but my sis is only 19. She had a few worries I'm sure, but with a little reassurance from our family, she had the baby, no troubles.
I think it's probably the same here. Just tell her that you think you're ready and that you'll both make very responible parents. I mean, you're all set up for a child, which is more than a lot of other couples can say, and that must go some way to prove how ready you are. Give her a bit of time, and with a little more encouragement she'll see that she's ready too. Good luck!!

As crap as it sounds, she called her Aylisha Jayd. Talk about a common-as-muck mother trying to give her kid a posh name (and failing miserably). :stongue:
Ah well, it was her choice. Cute baby though.

Wow. I assume you guys discussed having children at some point before getting married. I am totally against it especially if the person is a married adult, but that is just my opinion. I'm sorry that this is happening to you. I can't begin to imagine your frustration. I hope things work out for you. |
