RESPECT, YO! :D

Ok, now, to ante-up - get him to drop some E, so you can have a grandfather-grandson bonding experience. Lots of lava lamps, bunch of glowsticks and plenty of chewing gum.

Kinda reminds me of that movie, "Road Trip" - the old dude asking the kid "Hey, are you gonna pass that doobie or what?"

;)

j/k mate - that's cool.

BTW, my mom likes some of the stuff I listen to - like Ferry corsten. She once borrowed my beemer and my 6-cd changer was loaded with trance CD's. She was actually listening to PvD's "out there and back" - she said she liked it. Now, my mom is in her sixties. Imagine the reaction - some 60 y.o. lady pulls up in a 2-door 328ci with PvD blasting'. Your reaction? :D

She didn't go as far as asking me to burn some copies for her but she did like "Tell my why" enough to have me record it for her.

I'm currently in the process of putting together a three-volume set of MP3 CD-Rs for him. Apparently, his wife likes to listen to it, too. (She's around the same age.)

That's really cool!

That's awesome. My dad introduced me to electronic music, but he doesn't listen to it regularly, so he wouldn't be able to ID jack , unlike your grandfather.

My whole family respects electronica

That's so inspiring! Great story...! Most elderly people I know who *do* listen to electronic music listen mainly to the academic, avant-garde (well, it was that half a century ago), experimental stuff like Stockhausen or Xenakis. But dance music, that's something different... does your grandpa dance to the beats too? My Dad was like almost 70 before he died and he got down and boogied to my tracks, it was too adorable :D

lol... thats awesome. my dad who is 58 just refers to it as "bang bang bang." Oh yeah, and "noise." My mom on the other hand says she like some of it, but it gets old, which is understandable, because i have it playing ALL the time. then again, why wouldnt I, im a TA:D
DjWhooCares
hahaha that is wicked man...your grandp's listens to trance....WICKED>>!!!......other than that.....ITS WICKED!!!

Thats awesome man, I also vouch for him to sign up to TA, you should also start showing him DJ stuff and see if you can get him into it, that would be wicked.

My dad also refers to it as "boom, boom, boom" or "noise" but my mum likes some of it, she doesn't mind me blasting it pretty loud at night when shes sleeping, and I mean loud as in 12inchers making quite abit of "noise".
